I don’t think the majority of the rank and file membership will be reading Jeff’s tweets all that much. If Jeff is gone and Gowers is president I dare say he’ll be able to run the joint without much external interference. Particularly as us members likely won’t have club sanctioned propaganda fired at us next AGM.

I listened to that interview it was absolutely pathetic! All these pro Nank people that are claiming that Gowers and co have attacked them and are making it political is just rubbish! There is only one person that I can see making it political and he’s not even running for president. Why can’t these people see that the issues some of us have with the current set up is that they have been too weak to call out Jeff on his BS, to weak to reign him in and too weak to advise him to step aside when his time was up 12 months ago. They just brush off the poor and messy decisions they have made as if they are nothing and think that no one else is capable of running the place.
None of the incumbent have done or said anything to impress me other than Katie Hudson and I feel like even Vanders is on borrowed time after listening to him on the Hawks Insiders podcast.
We’ve got fresh air in the footy department and it’s been great for the place. Time we did the same at board level

What an embarrassing article and an absolute abortion of an attempt to smear a candidate. The lengths the incumbents have gone to in order to try and cling to power has been appalling. I know Gowers has committed to being a unifying force, but if he wins next week, the member(s) of the Board who are driving this ought to resign.

This nobody sounds like one of the people that believe that Axel Rose‘s mic throws into the crowd were like miniature torpedoes that caused damage to cars and caused earthquakes and mass destruction, when in reality some silly attention seeking clown just couldn’t catch.

Did he realise there’s been a substantial turnover in the last three seasons?

The ironic thing about Kennett’s return to the HFC presidency with excessive power, is that it illustrates the correctness of his original decision to put a limit on the time one could remain as a director (or President).
A board, like a playing list needs to be refreshed regularly to bring new ideas and energy to the organisation.

This is an absolutely outrageous situation.
Whoever this Matthew Berriman is, he should be cut from the club immediately.

What’s far worse is the likelihood that the current board, probably Kennett and Nankivell, have seemingly put him up to this.
And this on top of the lack of transparency from the board in the lead up to this election.

Kennett and Nankivell should be asked to publicly disavow this outrageous statement from this turkey. If they had no input into Berriman‘s tirade, or if they object to it (as officers of the club), they should say so immediately.

This is not Trumpsville. We are still a democratic organisation - which should be respected, and administered in a professional and transparent manner.
