Don’t agree. James wants to do the best for the Club. He is well placed to help the Club with Dingley, and he is a good person. Can I please point out, BOTH sides have been courting him, but he is adamant the Club needs change, wants to be involved with change, and wants to be involved with getting Dingley built.

I suspect HawksforChange candidates will get up for all three positions.

This is the issue HawksforChange is encountering. There will be incremental change, but change none the less. All the powerful people want and understand we need change. The constitution is not an easy thing to change.

Yes they have. Nankervil had been calling Merlino twice a day at least, trying to convince him to stand with him. Merlino is standing with Gowers.

From my understanding of the constitution, you can nominate at any time except for the month or so preceding the AGM. Why would anyone wait for the AGM to be called?

Don’t get the angst about Merlino nominating, particularly in regards to his political life.

Gowers will be president if people turn against Nank, while Merlino be a board member, and it’s not like he has a long history of gaffes and actions that bring ridicule upon him like the other Polly we’ve had to endure as our figurehead.

It might also pay to have someone who can work more closely with and navigate the state and federal governments to finalize Dingley.

Personally spoke to one of the whistleblowers that wrote to senior DET managers raising concerns with regards to what was happening at one Vic Special School. This person was fired from said school and along with two others that raised concerns. All three were hounded out of the Victorian education system. One actually moved from Victoria due to not being able to work in education. This person also won a wrongful dismissal law suit against DET, but refused the payment as it included a NDA! Interesting to note that the principal, vice principal and other from this school were moved side ways and are still currently in Victorian schools. Sounds familiar!!!

Also spoke to a disability advocate who has repeatedly raise these issues and others with senior DET officials and in particular the Minister in question!!! The advocate has been repeatedly threated with legal action by DET, but like most bullies failed to follow through on the threat!!!

The "official" DET independent investigation into one school was especially horrendous, with parents and staff originally told their details will be confidential, only to be told at the last minute that their personnel details will be provided to DET! Needlessly to say most refused to proceed with giving evidence!

If my 30 years of public service, including the last 16 years in the federal government has taught me one thing, its that if Minister, Premier, or senior director of a Government Dept claims they know nothing of a serious incident or incidents of this nature.

They are either incompetent, a liar or both!!!!

It is also a requirement of the incumbent Board to advertise the calling of an annual meeting and election. Not sure the incumbent Board did everything in their power to ensure there was the appropriate knowledge of this timetable. Let me just leave it at that.

Jeff has a list of bad calls and acts as premier as long as your arm, but I couldn’t have given a shit about them if he’d been someone who could represent the HFC members and all that they stand for without looking after himself.
