Can see this turning out like it did with Stacey Jones at the Warriors.

Daniel Anderson and Jarryd Hayne on collision course

THE relationship between Parramatta coach Daniel Anderson and superstar fullback Jarryd Hayne is at breaking point.

So much so that Hayne's agent Wayne Beavis last night called for a meeting with Anderson to thrash out their differences, which are threatening to derail Parramatta's premiership campaign.

I'm with Cronk - he is the club's highest paid player, and while he is trying, he isn't doing what is expected. He raised the bar so high last year - I still think he keeps talking too much saying "I'm going to explode....." etc.

I still the media spun Anderson's words - he didn't blame Hayne, he said he wasn't doing enough but he had plenty of mates.

If Hayne is unhappy, it is not due to the coach. Inu and Mateo leaving for the Warriors has clearly affected him - they are close mates.

I didn't watch the presser, did the media ask a direct question about JH, or did Anderson volunteer him for singled out criticism?

"but he had plenty of mates" as an afterthought doesn't change the fact he got singled out.

this is how scared we are (rugby league public) about other codes taking our players

this was a nothing incident, but it blows up because we are all scared, Hayne could simply walk out on his nrl contract and jump ship to the aru or afl who both were after him last year..

sadly the game is at the mercy of the players

haha God people are paranoid

It was blown out of proportion because Jarryd is one of the biggest names in the game, nothing more, nothing less.

Do you think if a Richmond rookie was in hospital right now, all the news stations would be camped outside the Epworth? No, but because it's Ben the bottom feeders have virtual 24/7 coverage of the situation. It's the same here. No conspiracy theories, Jarryd sells newspapers in Sydney.

Yep. Just as Collingwood does in Melbourne. When a big club is having problems it get saturation coverage. If/when Parra start winning again some other club will get the stories written about them.

The Hayne Train is leaving from Platform One and is arriving right on time ;)

In all seriousness we were pathetic in the first 20 minutes, absolutely pathetic. A absolutely stunning turn around. Hayne was brilliant.

The last two weeks we have done what we do best, score points. The defence of last year flowed on from killing teams in attack, and for the last 16 rounds, bar that 4 week spell we have looked horrible in attack and, while the defence has been alright, we could never score enough points.

I can't see us replicating the back end form of last year, but I hope we give the Dogs a touch up next week. Should be another big crowd at ANZ. Also 22.5k sellout at CUA last night and IIRC that is the first and only Parra v Pentrith game this season, great schueduling NRL.

Were up here two weeks in a row soon with Titans then the Broncos the week after so looking forward to getting to go to the footy two weeks in a row. Hopefully we can keep this form going and score a top 8 spot, I'm not holding my breath though.

Toot Toot :thumbsu:

Second half was really average but the game was well and truely over.

Bloody hell. Are Parra back after looking all but gone only a week or two agao?

I think if we beat the Roosters next weekend then we are genuine contenders for a top 8 spot. Although had the Dragons won tonight we would be in the 8

Hayne was back to his best tonight and if he can keep it going, well we know what can happen. But it's not only Hayne, and it shows by the way we play football. I said it earlier in the season when we went on that 4 match unbeaten run.

The offloads are back, Mortimer and Mateo start to shine. Mortimer has been useless for about 90% of the games this season, but the last three games when we have got the second phase happening again we are one of the most dangerous teams in the comp. Playing more like a number 6, not a 7. He's rubbish at it.

No idea why we
1. Stopped playing it after last season, pressure probally.
2. Stopped playing it again after we started playing well and went back to the ultra defensive style.

When we dont go out there without wanting to thrash teams and throw the ball around any attacking moves we do make seem to be done so nervously that they are completly ineffective.

I just watched the game, and what an awesome performance from Jarryd Hayne! :D As Oba says, Mortimer (and Robson) were much better too, compared to ealier in the season when the Eels looked poor in the halves.

It's hard to complain that the game tailed off a bit in the second half, and the Dogs didn't play that badly by any means, but the game was already won. Still Hayne produced that wonderful try-saving tackle in the corner, though. I share Rabbits' irritation about soft penalties; Moi Moi clearly lost the football in the tackle, and Parramatta were gifted the penalty that effectively made the game safe.

they've flicked the switch i think...

they were deplorable against the warriors 3 weeks ago.

the next week they were good against the cowboys and showed a lot of positive signs.

they were awful for the first 20-30 minutes against penrith - but i reckon there was a point in that game where u could actually see the switch flicked.

the bulldogs game was the parra of last year... at $7 for the premiership, i still reckon they're a little short, but i think after the last week or two i'm prepared to write off the tigers and the panthers. manly and gold coast are way too inconsistent to win 4 finals in a row.

i reckon we're down to the dragons, the eels... and maaaybe the broncos if lockyer can drag them over the line.

If its a Dragons/Eels gf, I think I will leave the country:)

Anyway, everyone's forgetting about Manly, they showed good form today against the Warriors and are definitely in the mix to be there on the big day.

For the good of the game, I would like the finalists to be the Warriors and Titans.

i don't rate manly, they're far too inconsistent.

if the last 2 months have shown us anything, its that there is faaar too great a reliance on jamie lyon - which is not a good thing when he's a centre.

if stewart (i'll ignore my disdain for manly and make no reference to his past indiscretions) was on the park, i think they'd be up alongside the dragons. but he's not.

and lyon playing out of centre is not as influential as hayne at fullback or lockyer at five-eighth (the other two most important players to their club).

admittedly, i hate manly. so if i eat humble pie in a few months... well, i won't be doing so happily.

as i said, i think we're almost down to a race in 2... and a bit (broncos being the 'bit')

A Storm fan worried about the good of the game:eek:;)

Talking us up as Grand Finalists, now that's a stretch. Like last year will take it a week at a time. The Roosters next week will be a good indicator. If we win, I think I will go to the GC/Bris games very confident of watching two victories.
