17 year old... 35 year old.. who gives a shit the game doesn't know how old you are.
Your out on the field playing footy you don't get the luxuries of getting treated differently because your a kid.

The words of an old sniper . sure you don't take it easy on anyone regardless of their age . But the day that a player stands by and watch's a kid get punched by the opposing captain with out remonstrating is the day footy dies , clubs need jnr's and if they just become punching bags what do you think will happen to our game ?

Take warning whoever is playing LBU & Heathcote this week, both seem like a pack of mad bastards!!!

Im hearing the new Heathcote prez is a real smooth operator, my advice for him would be to push for the next Heathcote v LBU clash to be played on a Sunday. That way everyone else can get along and judge for themselves who's tough, who's not, who's snipes and who fly's the flag for their mates :D

Perennial football mercenary (ex Hurst, Square, Flat) Jas Curtain is chasing dollars at White Hills today. Seems to crack it pretty easy if things dont go his way, so good luck to the Demons in keeping this precious soul happy for a season. He is a solid backman so will do well at the lower level, but where his head is at, noone knows

interestimng game between heathcote and north today. IMO north threw away a winnable game after half time.

the turning point of the game that cost north was when ryan gow took his attention from the footy and turned it onto mellington. he was told by his coach at half time how good a job he was doing and instead of going the footy went the man. and by doing this mellington out marked him and had 3 shots at goal. the end result for north could have been worse had he kicked straight.

with ryan gow going the man it then started the nasty fight just before 3/4 time. i remember a number of years ago cameron lomas from north had a player up on civil charges for foul play during a football match, and rightly so. what amused me today was watching lomas run from 15 metres away to get involved in the fight and in doing so king hit mellington from behind.
rough stuff in footy has and always will be apart of the game. its not part of the rules but it does happen. watching someone run from a distance to get involved and then hit the person when they cant defend themselves is the biggest coward act of all time. it doesnt matter what team you were supporting today those actions were poor and after reading the yabba i was even more horrified to find out that he is the club captain.
poor selection as far as that is concerned. for 80% of todays game north had heathcotes measure, but a lepoard never changes its shots and when the crap started north went the man and the man only and heathcote out classed them when it counted to pull off a very good win.
north have the making of a good football side however playing like that they wont achieve anything

just need to correct you on a key argument to your post their old saint, but it was actually cam's older brother travis who had the civil case against the former broadford player, not cam. you might want to get you facts right before you start entering these types of comments. from my observations of cam over the years he has been a "tough at it" fair and honest player for north, like his brother was - who i played against many times.

wasn't at barrack reserve so cant comment on what you have described today. if what you're saying about cam is correct, then it would be totally out of his character.....

if thats the case i take that, im was sure it was cam, however it was a long time ago. if that is the case then cam should know better.
hitting from behind is just not on. not sure how much damage he did if any but i did notice a nice cut above the mellingtons eye.

sick of people on this site who are full of lies mellington king hit a north player while on the ground and kept punching him after he was out so if you are going to post shit make sure it is right

Geez Im glad I didnt see any nasty incidents at Colbo last Friday coz the HDFL sounds like it's really taken a turn for the worse the first two rounds with all the king hitting and sniping that's apparently going on

diesel i can not comment on the incident i was in side at the time, but i would like to say if it was not for a couple of North Bendigo committee people and H/Cote committee people at 3 quarter time, this might just got out of hand so thanks to the people who took control at 3 quarter time:thumbsu:

Happy to help those less switched on :D well have you checked where the juniors are that round, contacted LBU and got the ball rolling. Would so love a Sunday game otherwise it will be finals again before I get to anther game - so come on Ump see what you can do, just as long as there is no sniping, king hitting or squealing like little kids ;)

Well im sick of reading about crap on this site the last 2 weeks, its a footy forum not a boxing forum. So lets talk about the weekends FOOTY. People should be talking about Huntlys brave effort to get within 6 goals of a top contender, this is great for the league.

I was at this game as a spectator looking at a potential recruit for my club. i laugh at how emotional supporters from both sides have a version on the so called incident. This happened in front of me.the facts are that no 18 from bulldogs charged at mellington who braced himself for contact .this no 18 went down because he ran in so fast but was open. he connected mellingtons shoulder as he went down mellington lent over to pick him up to remonstrate with him for his attack at him but realised he was hurt then push him back to the ground. There was no punch thrown. The fight started because no 1 attacked Mellington from behind. The storiesfrom both sides supporters were a joke. it was a fair bump and players then flew the flag. supporters should just but out.Good game and my potential recruit for next year looks ok

Starting early on the recruiting for next year mate. Im tipping you will not telll us who it is:D:D:D

:):):)
:):):) as they say the early bird catches the worm

Wasn't at he game yesterday either Thorgil, but how you described it is exactly how the Pink Panther described the incident at Strath today. I asked PP if he thought Mellington may be in strife but he reckoned the bloke was defending himself as Galvin? run at him...would that be right?

Galvin copped his right whack too. Biggest cowards act coming from behind

its on the edge of a knife at the moment ack. clubs paying good money for hacks that go the biff when it gets to the crunch, i have never been a big fan of bendigo bombers or the whole TAC cup with the stand out kids and top players in the region heading away to play a majority of there footy infront of a couple of recruiting scouts and a hand full of parents, these are the players that get the bums on seats at your local ,week in week out. but unfortunatly its a better standard and cleaner football for these kids to develop:confused:, without the drop kicks with bad habbits that drag the standard down. im not sure what the answer is; maybe throw the blokes out that throw punches, maybe more representative footy where the teams are made up of individual year levels, and more school boy football,
