Have heard that a Huntly player tried to start a fight with a North Bendigo after the game yesterday whilst the north bloke was walking to the Huntly social rooms to have a beer! Punches were thrown! Pretty piss weak effort I would of thought. Big downer on the Huntly football club. I wasn't there but supposedly the arrogance that comes across off that team is like they have won the last 5 flags!
Not to sure who the north Bendigo player was but heard it was the kid greenwood that has come from square!
Not sure why they think they can act arrogant! They didn't even give the finals a shake last year losing in the first final and they have only beaten one side in top 4 which was colbo round one (which is hard to take anything from a round one game due to nerves, skill errors and people finding there feet etc!) and they haven't beaten leitchy and now north! Time Pipe down I think Huntly boys!

I'm sure everyone has either seen or heard but its a sad way for Bong to go out but hopefully it will raise some awareness that footy is just a game and you need to take care of yourself.

Has been a good player in this league. Obviously hate to see anyone finish this way, but there is no real evidence that helmets stop concussions.
Watched Colbo get totally outplayed by Huntly on weekend. Colbo didn't stick to a plan and field kicking was terrible with numerous turnovers. Smashed out of the centre. Also lost Carmody early with a knee injury which was a big blow for their defence. Hopefully he is ok. Big shoes to fill, had been very good for them to date. Another big test for them this week when they take on LG.

Watched LG V Colbo and between both teams the umpires were disgraceful. Blokes kicked goals called points, confusion rained as no decisions paid and pretty sure the reason for some frustration was poor effort applied from central umpires. I know we need them to be able to play a game but seriously would be better off using your own club umpires than what was dished up on Saturday. It was copped both ways and central and goal umpires were putrid. One of the worst umpiring games I have ever seen officiated.
How many weeks does Ayden Walton No 27 get from LG for striking? Surely more than 1 with an early plea or is that common in this league to get and take the set penalty and no tribunal unless challenging?

Ventured out to Tooleen to watch what I though would be a one sided game but wow, did huntly come to play. Not sure what happened to North, but they were completely smashed in the first half. Makes the rest of the finals even more exciting now

He was collected very late after taking a mark. Fairly poor form from the LG player. The young Heathcote boy is in a bad way

Absolutely reportable,however he was reported for striking another Heathcote player who ran in to remonstrate. The young Heathcote lad injured won't play again!

Would have been happy to see the upset of Colbo rolling North but not to be. Half time and dry weather and Colbo all over North, it rains and then North completely dominate. North arent playing well by any stretch but i really think they would love to come up against anyone in the wet. They seem to play better when it slows down and becomes physical and have the body size as per yesterday to dominate the clearances.
On another note, can I say I am completely underwhelmed with the umpires for the finals series. The umpires interpretations and missing the obvious first free kick is a real blight on the finals as its just so inconsistent. The only positive was they were bad for both teams so didn't really change anything in the outcome but surely the league has to have a look at what they are paying for, and yes I know its hard to get umpires but from the games I've seen this year the league is improving but the officials aren't. Review definitely required at season end IMO.

Too say that colbo were all over north in the first half you would think they would of been more than a goal up hey? Haters can keep hating North Bendigo but from watching them over the last two seasons they won't give in. Bigger bodies around the footy in midfield?? Haha come on mate you think Morris, J Findlay and Alford are bigger bodied then Cam Hall, Vale and Barlow. Were you even at the game?
