Who should I trade scott DT to to avoid the 0. I have 9 trades and can afford any backman under 500k. I'm thinking Johncock but I have Mcleod and I think if teams stop tagging him they may tag Johncock. Maybe P.Burgoyne?

Shaw Gilbee Birchall McLeod Cornes Scott DT Myers Bradshaw Proud
Johncock would probably be your best choice:thumbsu:
Only others I would consider in your case would be Maybe Bock (B/E=85) with an avg. of 99 or Milburn (B/E=93) with an avg. of 93.
Hope that helps.
Sorry it took so long to reply I am doing this between work;)

Yeah I think I'll get Johncock. Hopefully he doesn't get heavily tagged.

No probs. Keeping your job is probably a higher priority than helping me out in SC ;)

How important are your 9th forward and back emergencies and the 8th midfield emergency coming to the pointy end of the season? Just trying to work out whether I bring in Ward this week...numbers of players coming in likely to get many games is diminishing and at some stage I'll have to cash in on a couple of my current cows.

Depends how many trades you have left.

If you'll have enough trades to trade out the zero's you'll cop at seasons end, you'll be fine... otherwise, you might want to think about having a 9th back... :)

(For some reason, the mids don't seem to get as pummeled as the back line though :thumbsu:)

Cheers, I'm a first yearer...I see myself having 4 trades left for finals at this rate...so I'm not really sure if that will be enough anyway, but I guess I'll live and learn. It was a midfield downgrade I was looking at anyway and have cotchin as 7th mid, so hopefully they will be ok. Still don't know what I'm going to do yet though :) I'll wait till 3 and decide anyway, see if he's playing. Hopefully Proud will come in for the injured TJ and make some dosh so I can upgrade him, giving me a useful pair of back emergencies...goooooo albert!

Houli and SDT have stuffed me, I need some advice.

Now that SDT won't go up in price, and Houli won't either... I won't be able to get Ablett next week (I only just realised this).

So I have two options: Trade in Harvey for Palmer now, and hope that Houli plays next week, and that Ablett doesn't have two monster scores that put him above 765ish, so I can then trade him in for Houli the week after. If I do this, I risk losing Ablett [sobs]... and will have to settle for Cooney.

Or

Trade in Cooney for Palmer now, and then trade in one of Kirk or Hodge next week, assuming they stay below 600k.

Would Gamble be a chance to play then SJ?
He would indeed be a chance. From the report it seems as though the boys will have a fitness test before stepping on the plane, so we may well hear of replacements before game time.

Edit: Noticed you mentioned Ablett in your post on the Geelong Board Big Man. Just make sure you watch the 100-gamer on Saturday too.

Who would that be?

I look forward to the game, it wont be close but will be great to see chappy, GAblett, Bartell strutt their stuff.

I hope Ling leaves Kerr to go one on one with Gary but I highly doubt that will happen.

EDIT: I see its Rooke. With Hansen back in our side expect Rooke to have a career day out. 30 odd touches and plenty of drive from the back line. Yah :D

Not only that, but to rub the salt into the wounds, he will outscore Gary.
Mark that down and smoke it!

yep thatd really sting.............until u see gary avg 130-140 for the rest of the year..and stevens 90-100 (at very best).....yep.....might need more salt

Doesn't worry me, stevens has been a great pickup for his price and I plan to keep him as my 6th midfielder.

Current midfield -

Judd, Corey, Cross, Kornes, Stevens, Palmer

At finals time I will trade Palmer out for Yablettt, Goodes, Cooney! :thumbsu:

In todays west it says Bones is in doubt for WC with an ankle injury. Quick question who should I start for Bradshaw, Wilkes or Myers? Myers seems the more obvious choice but Wilkes has outscored him most weeks. Cheers

Good to hear Gamble may get a run SJ.
