3 trades left, only $25k in bank. Been to-ing and fro-ing all week as to whether to go Cotchin>Dalziell, is incredibly risky with only 3 trades and Cornes still on my bench, but the cash would be invaluable. Could then turn Cornes into someone decent, and have some cash for my final trade.

BACKS: Gilbee, Cornes, Shaw, Newman, Johncock, Birchall, Ibbotson (Head & Proud)
MIDS: Ablett, Cooney, Cornes, Dal Santo, Bartel, Stevens (Cotchin & Wellingham)
RUCKS: Cox, Simmonds (Hampson & Renouf)
FORWARDS: J Brown, Pavlich, Franklin, Riewoldt, ROK, SJ, Rioli (Ross & Thompson)

So, should it do it?? Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Anyone know why Burgoyne isn't back yet? (Peter).

EDIT: Cancel that, just saw the other thread.

I finally thought I'd have 22 players playing (thanks to Proud getting a gig), but then Burgs doesn't come back.

That could help... Though it will be leaving your trades thin for the finals.

(1 trade left)

If you're feeling good about your reserves though, go for it. :D

That's the thing. Only have confidence in Cotchin and Head that they'll be assured starters. The rest are week-by-week propositions.

Would you do it, Walesy? :)

keep cotchin- good safe emergency that will play every week, trade wellingham to dalziell, then upgrade cornes - milburn/fisher/bowden or upgrade thomson- delidio/richo?
with your solid emergencys 1 trade will be enough for finals

after looking at that upgrade cornes:thumbsu:

My mate reckons because the backs are so shit this year, I'd be better off downgrading Cornes to a rookie (ie. McKenzie- ave:77, $118k), playing Head/McKenzie as my 7th mid, and using the cash for my final 2 trades (ie. upgrading Rioli/Thompson).

How do you reckon that sounds? Or just go Wellingham>Dalziell?

Provided you trust that your rookies are going to play, then sure...

It's a hard sell to trust anyone that is playing their first few games this late in the season though...

Have been thinking about this NON-STOP all week, and am no closer. I have about 50-60 minutes to finalize my team, will probably come down to the old adage, "when in doubt, don't trade...".

I think. :)

Looking ominous that he won't, second last listed on extended bench :(.

What about Priddis? he's very far down that list too....
I hope he plays he's been very frustrating this year.
I have armfield as a back up though

AM I CRAZY? I am thinking of getting the Big Q (Quinten Lynch) trading him in for Tredrea/Burton...

He has been released onto a wing, instead of being up forward...since this move he has two 120+ games is still only 410k...

thoughts...too risky?

Spartan's coaching career for 2008 is over.

0 trades left.

Final team for the rest of the season:

Milburn, Gilbee, Shaw, Mattner, McLeod, Birchall, Bradshaw (N.J.Brown, Edwards)

Ablett (C), Kirk (vC), K.Cornes, Hayes, Cross, Stevens (Dalziell, Myers)

Cox, Sandilands (Hampson, Meeson)

Pavlich, Riewoldt, J.Brown, Franklin, O'Keefe, Chapman, Porplyzia (Tippet, Ross)

A @#$% ups this year.

Upgrading Simmonds to Sandilands was premature and stupid.

Swapping Bowden for McLeod a week before he came back.

Trading in N.J.Brown insted of Thompson.

etc etc etc.

Ranked #739.. I'll be happy to finish in the top #500 but it prob wont happen. :D

Guys, I'm trading Chad Cornes and I can afford any backman bar Bowden. Who should I get? I'm think Sam Fisher. Probably the most consistent backman this year.
I was just about to post the same thing & I was choosing between Fisher , Milburn or Gilbee.

I tend to agree Fisher has been very consistant.

Decisions decisions:confused::confused:

i am going to downgrade one of my roookies for dalziell. but am deciding which one either cotchin or s.browne.

it will leave me with 4 trades for finals. most of you understand the reason for the decision.

any thoughts?
