why should i definetly want to get rid of kosi??

allthough i do like that trade cos it saves me 125,000 to spend later....

Kosi is averaging 40 this season.

If he keeps that up, he's going to be the Barry Hall of 08.

Cox on the other hand is averaging 156, and is the highest scorer of the comp so far.

So far, your score is 200+ points worse off by having Kosi over Cox. :)

lol yeha very true. anyway its done....hawkins out for hill and kosi out for cox, with $125,000 left over. im very happy:thumbsu:

I would like anyones thoughts on who i should trade for andrew raines?
i have 309k in my salary cap plus raines' value which means i can get any backman that i would like.

My original thoughts were to get milburn and hav a bit of money spare for other trades but im not sure

anyone have suggestions???

Definately Kozi to Cox, just made my mrs do the same thing with hers downgrade hawksins to hill so can get coxy in now.

For the ones that were having troubles with there rookie backs I was to now knowing which ones out of thompson, proud, pfeiffer were consistently going to get a game, so I took a hit down forward even know didnt want to waste any trades yet. Akka down to Hill, Thompson upto Bock as my 7th Back. Will never have that worry all year with back rookies now.

Yeah i took that on board really go advice but im really happy with my other lines and donot want to change them to much. I now have 150K in the bank thanks to the Brown to Porp trade. The money i make from my cash cows will be going straight to my backline. I have at least 3 players to upgrade in my backline.

Made two trades this week, in the end my hands were forced by the backline troubles:

IN: Hill, Gilbee
OUT: A. Edwards, Lovett-Murray

Team:

Backs: Shaw, Milburne, Giblee, Johncock, Waite, Bradshaw, Brown
Emerg: Thompson, Hartlett

Mids: Hayes, Cooney, Goodes, Gibbs, Stanton, Houli
Emerg: Tuck, Lonergan

Fwds: Brown, Pavlich, Deledio, Burton, Hall, Rioli, Jetta
Emerg: Gamble, Hill.

The trouble now is with my backs on the bench. Hopefully Hartlett comes straght back into the team after the Dons thump Carlton this week, and Thompson gets another run with North soon. Otherwise I am pretty happy with the team for the moment.

I'd start Gamble over Jetta this week.

Have 544,800 in my salary cap and was wanting who to trade in for.

Was looking at one of S.Fisher, Birchall, John****, J.King, Thornton, Mattner.

Any thoughts/suggestions,

I think that King is a good choice or Fisher.

For me either of them would be good.

Don't go Thornton, he won't keep up the high scores for long

Guys, i really need a hand here. have a good solid backline of H.Shaw, Newman, C.Cornes, Gram, Waters, Taylor, Proud, Hansen.

I also have one Andrew Mackie, am wanting to trade him off. picked as i knew trhe cats would be dominant again this year but Mackie is injured and i dont think he will return to his former glory, am wanting to trade him but am not sure who for, I was wondering if anyone could throw up some suggestions and back it up with some reasoning.

I have $544,400 in the bank and was looking at these possibilites

Sam Fisher (St.Kilda) $534,100
PROS: big bodied player who takes marks and carries the ball, is creative and gets plenty of it off half back.
CONS: am not sure about him getting as much of it with Goddard back, but with the saints being oner of the "IT" teams this year possibility.

Graham Johncock (Adelaide) $464,700
PROS: hard nosed defender who doesnt shirk the contest, always goes in for the hard ball and gets the easy kicks across half back. doesnt run and carry as much as id like to see but effective none the less.
CONS: Consistency, when Crows are on Johncock is on. thats all i have

Grant Birchall (Hawthorn) 448,500
PROS: Excellent user of the ball, runs carries kicks long, does everything right, being young am not sure whether he can keep it up all year though.
CONS: with the hawks playing a fast game am not sure if he can play like this all year, high possibility though

Brett Thornton (Carlton) 405,700
PROS: takes marks, gets kicks and handballs galore across half back, with the defensive line that carlton have is a certainity to get plenty of kicks bdown their
CONS: none really, maybe consistency, will be hard to keep this form up all year and score consistant points for me.

any other suggestions, am not really fussed what people think these are just my first thoughts on who i should choose. any thoughts wouldbe great.

I'll just make the case for Sam Fisher. When Goddard was injured last year, Sam filled his role as rebounding half-back brilliantly well, and he was one of the pick of the backmen in SC last year. He's continued that form into this year, and once Goddard has got a few games under his belt and is back to full strength, you can look forward to these two and Gram sharing the ball around A LOT on it's journey out of our defensive 50. I am licking my lips in anticipation. :D

If you didn't choose Fisher, I'd probably suggest Birchall>Stiffy>Thornton

Keep your ears to the ground punters, the rumour mill is running wild...

Breaking news - BJ is a possible withdrawal tonight.
For once I'm not mucking around.

My uncle sponsors him, and when he called the club half an hour to confirm his booking for the Pres's dinner, they advised him of the bad news. Good news for the Pres dinner and for my uncle, as BJ will be a guest at the dinner.

I'd start Gamble over Jetta this week.

Not for me. Gamble played well last week and got some easy goals to inflate his score, he's not going to do much better and will probabyl do worse this week. Jetta is going to bounce back and add some goals to his otherwise good all around game.

i'll have hill and gamble starting. hopefully with some luck geelong will be dominating melbourne by half time and let gamble and west have some more tog and they will score 90+. well thats the dream anyway :p

Yes i watched the game but i doubt you did after making stupid comments like that. If you think he is going to be value for money your dreaming. He will play on and off the bench this week and will be lucky to get a look in for the remainder of the year

Ok i watched the game, were you watching a player called number 2?
Sure he didnt get much game time, but he was chasing hard, diving under packs and getting the hard ball, his skills in the conditions let him down a bit thats all...

Walsey help me on this, should i trade kornes out for mitchell/power/cross/hayes or any1 in that range and go jack for masten and have around 40k spare. If thats the case i will have pfeiffer, nicoski, houli, tuck, simmonds, gamble and bradshaw left to upgrade. so thats 14 trades. With 4 left for injury?

Alrighty, I got to "Kornes out"... and the answer is no! ;)

I would greatly advise against trading out kornes...

Masten will make his way back into the side, and from the looks of things, you'll have plenty of cows to trade out until he comes back. :)

Selection table dramas...

Do i drop Nicoski for one of NBrown or Pfiffer

and...

Do i leave out Hawkins this week for Hill or Rioli?

Help needed lol
