The Brazilian race-which is a mixture of many racial groups, none of which are an 'Australian' race as far as I know.
Brazilian is not a race. Not to mention there is a good spread of 'black' and 'white' Brazilians. Not all Brazilians are black you know that right?

I see your point if Harry were told to go back to Africa or something, but Brazil? In your example it's like calling a homosexual a moron. It's not right, but it's not racist/homophobic.

So the Brazilians who were offended by the comments were in the wrong??? Along with the Hawthorn supporters that asked that the man who made the comment be removed were wrong... The MCG attendant who joked about the offense was right?

Where the **** am I?

The 1930's?

Just because you are offended, it doesn't mean you are right.

I'm offended by this comment.

Did you even read what I said? I said it was wrong, but not for the reason that it was racial abuse.

You read the article yeah?

You realize the Brazilians involved were offended?
Why were they offended? Do they not like their place of birth? If they love their place of birth, why would they be offended by this comment?

It all comes down to people wanting to be offended by everything so they can get on their high horse

How many other players were told to **** off back to their country of birth?

You realize H is an Australian citizen? And has as much right as everyone else to be treated equally? Just like the Brazillian supporters offended by this incident.

You realize Hawthorn supporters asked the person involved be removed from the ground... because they were offended? But, you, who was not there... is the authority on what all these people involved had a right to be offended by?

1. How many other players have been born outside of Australia? Also again, how is saying to go back to your country of birth offensive?

2. You do realise 'H' is a Brazilian citizen too and has every right to go back to Brazil.

3. So because a few supporters were 'offended' (I use the term offended loosely since the only thing that may have been offensive about the comment was the language) because they have thin skin, it means that some guy deserves to get kicked out?

4. If I don't have authority on what to be offended about, why do these people have the authority to be offended and get a guy kicked out?

Being offended does not give you the right to demand someone be removed.

Quote of the year...

Adam Goodes - Australian of the Year!

Even I think Adam Goodes getting Australian of the Year is a joke.

He found out at 19 years old about who his biological father was... The kid never changed his name originally at 3 years old to create some controversy as you are insinuating...

HOWS ABOUT SOME MODERATION IN THIS THREAD!

Or is it the "Collingwood rule"...

Vote one re-name this thread to "Ignorant Pigs post here"

Sorry, but it was a genuine question as I know nothing about the guy. Even someone as misanthropic and hateful as me wouldn't insinuate that a three year old Heretier would try and create controversy.

Geez. the guy isn't Malcolm X or Marcus Garvey - sorry for not knowing his entire biography

Does it really matter where he ****s off back to?

Just as long as he ****s off.

With that kind of approach to this arguement that pretty much clears every minority of prejudiced... Cause if you call a white guy an Ape, it's not racist... cause a white guy isn't offended by it...

Calling a homosexual a ****ter is not homophobic cause it doesn't offend a heterosexual...

Calling a mexican a "whatever" isn't racist cause it doesn't offend an Asian...

(Why am I bothering explaining this!)

The word you're looking for is wetback or ****.

Personally, I find Mexican stereotypes hilarious, as demonstrated by the late, great Jack Benny

Clearly you haven't understood that word's have different meanings depending on the context and tone.

The supporter who made the alleged comments didn't tell him to go back to Brazil because of the weather; it's pretty clear the message was "go back to where you came from, you don't belong here". It's not about Brazil at all, it's about being accepted in this country.

If you think your view is correct that you should happily be able to walk up to any immigrant on the street and make the same comment. Hell, if you ever get the opportunity to meet our Prime Minister, maybe you should try it out on him.

I think the Portuguese came in and did so much f**king that it spawned a new race - cue the 'Sicilian' speech by Dennis Hopper in TRUE ROMANCE

And you not being offended doesn't mean anyone who is offended is overly sensitive.

Society is becoming so politically correct, this rubbish is just going to far, this goes on everywhere but one would think its only white Australians with the problem, because thats all that gets printed. Its time everyone grows up.
