I’m not understanding why H is all about this. Either he needs the money or enjoys the attention.

I’m sure we all acknowledge we do not know what really went on. But from an outsider looking in POV it seemed clear to me H was well liked by the players and I recall the fan base was a big fan as well.
he was A class defender and running back in his time.
Then one year he turned weird really really fast.

Plus I have a hard time believing that Malthouse or Buckley would tolerate a second of racism.
Especially given the volume of black or indigenous players we’ve had with us over the years.

Timed for release before the prelim? Sadly we didn’t make it H.

Interesting to see part of his claim is loss of enjoyment! I didn’t know you could take that to the Supreme Court? I might claim against the pies this year as well!
Loss of enjoyment of life forms a part of potential damages for pain and suffering.

Think of a severely injured back that was caused by someone’s negligence. You would have pain, restrictions on things you used to enjoy like sport, playing with your kids etc etc.

That loss of enjoyment is compensable in damages.

It is seperate from pecuniary damages, which is essentially loss of income.

Was one of my favourite players there for a couple of years. Took the game on, played with dash and kicked the ball long.

Agreed. He was one of my favourites for sure. Loved seeing him take it in defence then basically run it almost up to the forward line half the time.
He was a great defender and boarderline mid fielder.

Then he turned very strange very quickly.

He’s looking for a princely sum, I’m sure.
Any chance of similar action being brought by Damian Monkhorst after being called monkey for his whole career.
I jest, but I’m pretty sure H was a damaged soul before starting at Collingwood - oh, but he witnessed a murder in Brazil and all...

Pies owe me a squillion for “loss of enjoyment“ several times in the past 50 years.
Hope the smart arse barrister for the defence doesn’t bring up the absolute euphoria that I’ve experienced twice.
Might reduce my payout.

Well nothing to see here . . . indigenous person feeling offended waits for years to decide it has ruined his life and launches a lawsuit.

Completely understandable actions.

Can someone show me where the barf bags are???
