LOL wtf? This comming from a team of chokers.
How many priority picks did the saints get in the late 90's?
As for StKilda, they really are a girly side only matched by their girly supporters.

Seems like every club nowadays boasts about having the best facilities. The Pies can attest that it means nothing. We run at a profit, and will have the best facilities in the league in one year.
Income is income, irrespective of what it goes towards. If you use $1m of income to pay off debt, then it doesn't stop being classed as income.
Put simply, your profit included the handout, and would have been $1m less without it.
What happened to the $1,000,000+ profit that you were happily sprouting all year? Why did it turn into $90,000 instead?
Let's analyse the Dees situation a little closer.
They are coming off a shocking 2007. Melbourne and Carlton have had the most Priority Picks in the AFL(is it 4 or 5?). You have the lowest membership base in Victoria by a long way. Last year you sold 1 game to Brisbane and 1 game to Darwin, (correct me if I'm wrong). You also collected $1.5million from the CBF, (correct me if I'm wrong). You also had a huge blockbuster game on Queen's Birthday against Collingwood.
I would like to ask all Dees, or is that MelbourneFC supporters a few questions. What is going to happen when you lose the CBF? What is going to happen when you no longer can sell games interstate? What is going to happen when the AFL decide to take away the Queen's Birthday blockbuster.
I'll hazard a guess. MelbourneFC will be posting $3million losses every year.
I stopped reading after this
Hello McFly? Where did Riewoldt, Kosi, Ball, Goddard et al. come from?
Their has been handed to them via deplorable results from 2000-2002
WTF NECKLESS! 4 or 5 priority picks? Bahha weve had 2 you scum! How man have your rabble had? Oh and are you jealous we actually posted a PROFIT! Unlike your club, please **** off this board neckless.
1997 Melbourne finished last and used pick 1 with Travis Johnstone was not a priority pick, but a pick for finishing last.
2003 Melbourne finished 14th. We recieved pick 3 as a priority.
We received a PP in 97 and traded it to Freo
Thought so. But it still wasnt the luxury the saint had with having pick1 and 2 to draft kosi and riewoldt
Other Victorian clubs doing well on the membership front include Hawthorn and Geelong, both of which are approaching 24,000, Richmond with more than 23,000, North Melbourne with 20,000 plus and St Kilda which recently passed 21,000.Really?
From the Herald Sun
It's actually 17,800 on the website...which is a week behind anyway. So more likely to be 18 or 19K before NAB cup has even started.Other Victorian clubs doing well on the membership front include Hawthorn and Geelong, both of which are approaching 24,000, Richmond with more than 23,000, North Melbourne with 20,000 plus and St Kilda which recently passed 21,000.
Collingwood has signed around 28,000 members. Melbourne is trailing the competition with around 15,000 members.
Well done GAMBLER, that's exactly my point.
Then go out and meet some people.I couldn't think of anything more boring than spending Friday nights watching the dees.
The Saints have never received the CBF.
Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt this more than what we had the same time last year? Going by previous seasons, we are headed for 30k+ easily. It's actually 17,800 on the website...which is a week behind anyway. So more likely to be 18 or 19K before NAB cup has even started.
But don't let that get in the way of a good news story
Neckless, what is your obsession with getting rid of VIC teams?

Wow, il put the obvious contradiction here down to the fact that your a fremantle supporter.
Put simply, if income is income then we will include the $1mil as income....ipso facto...a contributor to profit.
If your gonna peddle your bulltish about what melbourne would be without the grant then maybe you should take into account the extra money we will have each year when we wipe off the rest of the debt. So we will be $1mil shorter in income less the grant, but $1mil less on costs due to debt.
Put simply....feel free to respond when you come up with a less condradictory/stupid point of view.

The CBF is not an income. It's actually theft. Theft from the other 13 clubs who bust their ar$e to stand on their own 2 feet.
Come to think of it, the 13 other clubs that don't receive the CBF should all go on a spending spree this year, posy a loss, and then claim the CBF money to balance the books.
The Dees will always be safe cause they have the name/brand 'Melbourne'
Like it or lump it, the Dees (believe it or not) are one of the most valuable victorian and AFL licencses and despite their financial and on-field struggles, they'll always still be round, unlike Foot-A-scray
I used to think North supporters were delusional until I met Melbourne supporters. At least North have a fight back plan and they have even stated that they don't want the CBF anymore.Say where do they herd fool's like NeXus_Helen ?
