Highest draft pick

We know there are some players looking to get drafted such as Sandilands, Henderson, O'keefe, Curnow, Sanfillipo?, Rioli, just to name a few. Who will be the highest to go? what are your thoughts?

Rioli. He proved he was the best player in the APS with his performances at the state carnival. he'll go the highest

Henderson and Rioli are hard to split although Henderson should go higher as KP forwards are more attractive. Henderson 5-10, Rioli 10-20. There will then be a fair drop to the other guys in the aps. Sandilands looks like a late pick, as does O'Keefe and maybe Curnow. Sanfillipo would be lucky to get rookie listed IMHO, a lot like Rockfellar last year.

Yeh and Matt Kreuzer from Melbourne will go higher than him. Maybe if you read some of the above posts you'd realise this thread is about where aps players will go in the draft.

Is it just a coincidence then that all of the players listed in the first post on this thread are aps players? Henderson, Curnow, O'Keefe, Rioli, Sanfillipo, Sandilands.

IMO I reckon it could go something like this.

Henderson: 5-20
Rioli: 10-25
Sandilands: 65-90
O'Keefe: Rookie (1st or 2nd Rd)
Curnow: Rookie (4th or 5th Rd)
Sanfillipo: Not Selected

I would say Croft and Sanfillipo will both be rookied.

APS will have many drafts next year. Yr 11 is a bumper year at Haileybury and Xavier. I say have a GF between them now and get the cup engraved. Save a whole lot of people time and energy.

We're looking at APS players here... either way I dont think Hartlett will go top 10.

That looks pretty spot on there. Although I think Curnow might go higher because he will dominate draft camp. His highest beep test is around 15.10 and he is very quick. Not as talented as all footballers but I think he will go late in the draft, similar to Simon Hogan last year.

Hartlett is to young to get drafted this year so will have to wait until the 2008 draft in which he will go top 10

In 3 years Ben Jacobs will be top 5 in the draft i have no doubt....

Ebert will go number 1 if not number 1 then def in the top ten, very classy player. Sam Fairclough from SA will have a chance of also getting drafted, or getting on the rookie list. James Byers from SA also being the dark horse, will go very high i rekon
