Houlihan's injury:chance to elevate Ellard or Joseph?

Houlihan hit by injury

If Houla's injury requires surgery and he's out for eight weeks, do you think the club will elevate a rookie?

I've changed my mind and would prefer Joseph ahead of Ellard just to add another player with legspeed and the ability to win his own ball to the side. I liked the sound of Joseph kicking a 50 metre goal in last week's VFL game as called by the commentators and would love to see him get a go. Armfield could possibly fill a similar role in the side as a quick tagger or mid, but I'd rather see Joseph given a go as rover or in the forward pocket. Joseph could be a little terrier along the lines of Richmond's Foley and would add another dimension to our team.

Ellard is a bit light on for size and not as quick or as agile as AJ.

Your thoughts?

After today's match Ellard is your rover but I like Josephs pace - future winger?
Surprisingly, Ellard can't be that highly regarded as he had already played half a game in the Bullants reserves

Ellard played reserves because the 12-10 rule comes into play when we play against a stand alone club. ;)

I can see why we picked him ahead of Stokes after today's game. :thumbsu:

He applied heaps of defensive pressure today for a skinny player and knows where the goals are after kicking a bomb for 55.

Ellard is a taller version of Eddie Betts, but not as quick, so he was likened to Medhurst after we picked him.

You'd be hard pressed to get the ball off them if you were a key forward and they had the goals in their sights. :D

Does this mean that he had played a half before it was confirmed that AB was out and there was room for him w/o breaking 12/10 rule?
In future, even with positional considerations, I dont think he will be the one left out due to the 12/10 rule
:)

I hope Ryan recovers well, I don't wish him any ill health. I just hope he never plays another senior game with the club. It was like having two extra players on the ground without him. His time is up we need to move forward.
