After a recent survey of captains as to how long they would like the season to be
as a supporter
how long would you like the season to be

15 rounds- each team plays each team once
22 rounds- leave it as is
30 rounds- each team plays each team twice

now although i tend to be a traditionalist
and hate to see the game changed
I would love to see 30 rounds for 3 obvious reasons

It would mean every team plays every team twice, once home and once away
meaning the draw would be much fairer and would eliminate teams being advantaged/disadvantaged by the draw (unless a team had to travel a few weeks in a row)

We could get rid of the Nab cup, as no team takes it seriously

And lastly, a purely selfish reason, We (supporters), get to see more games, and there wouldnt be such a long off season

We could possibly give players breaks through weeks off, split rounds and exhibiton matches (e.g victoria vs dream team).

it's hard to say

15 is too short

30 may be too long, and would lists cope as well as sufficient crowd number?

22 you don't get to play every team twice

30 would be the msot ideal in my opinion. but don't forget in just a few years time we're going to have 18 teams, so...

With another couple of teams joining the comp in the next 3 years i wouldn't mind seeing a few extra rounds added to the season.
Not quite 30, but maybe something like 25 rounds. I don't think it matters too much if teams don't play all the others twice. Seems to be working ok at the moment.
It would mean starting the season a little earlier, but that could helped by playing the nab cup over 4 weeks instead of 6 like this year. Many teams and coaches said they didn't like the 2 week gap between some games anyway.

I think 25 rounds is the best solution, as it extends the comp for 3 weeks giving teams a bigger chance to make or drop out of the 8 and no on can finish on the same amount of wins as losses, so 13-12 would probably be the minimum to make the finals.

Yes they can...how about 12-12 and 1 draw?
