I expect Hall to kick somewhere around 45-50 goals for the season if he can stay both injury & suspension free, i said IF!

I think anything better than 2 goals a game would be fine for us, he's not been brought in as a drastic Mr Fix it but i do think he'll flourish in our system.

The way he contests, attention he draws & the defensive pressure he applies will no doubt be a major factor in assessing the success of his stint.

Not sure how many he'll kick, but I doubt it would be more than 1 or 2 most games and now and then he might get a bag of 4 or 5 so....20 to 50??. I think he'll create as many opportunities as he gets, he will give us that big target that we had Will doing last year. I also think he'll play the lead up forward role at times too, giving Murph respite. Eade likes to swing players about and changes the structure a lot and Hall gives him that flexibility even more so. We normal share the goals...I like that we do I don't see it changing.

I'm hoping he's a 70 + goal FF.

We already have 30 - 50 goal forwards. He's now the main target.

Ideally i'd like 100 and a 10 goal game. I've never seen a Dogs player to do either (i was 6 when the Pieman did it).

It might be a bit of a slow start for Baz, considering he finished up mid year, his interupted preseason and settling into a new side. Realistically I think we will get about 35-40 out of him, which is fine beacause we have plenty of options. I just hope he can stand up and be that big target we desperatly need.

He should not be judged on the number of goals he scores but the number he helps create. This will not always be easy to assess. There will be goals that his teammates score simply because he has drawn the key defender.

Realistically I would like us to score as many goals as a team as we did in 2009. What I'll be looking for is the change in dynamics of our forward line, where other players like Murphy, Higgins and Hahn will play the roles they were meant to play. What I like about Hall is his pace on the lead as well as his physical presence in contests and defensive pressure. He is a perfect fit for our side....just wish he was a couple of years younger.

No he isn't.

We already have a functioning forwardline, but we lack a big bodied presence which is the role Barry has been brought in to fill.

Still, based on adding Hall to the side we should be expecting him to be kick on average 2 goals a game.

I don't think he will get anywhere near the 70 that JP wants but 40 plus should be a realistic aim.

Yep, I have no problems with that amount.

Hall has spoken just recently about he having to fit within the structures we have in place rather than changing our whole set-up to suit him, I like that attitude.

Hall won't demand the ball in the same way a Fevola would, as someone previously said his first aim will be to fit in & make others around him better--I can see Mitch Hahn benefitting from this, same with B.Johnson.

I thought welsh gave us decent service, but there is so much more upside to Hall in Welsh out with this forward line....

40/40 season would be a pass. 40 goals and 40 goal assists.
Remember it is not about how many BBB kicks, it is about how many Hahn,Aker,Johnson,Hill,Murphy etc kick.

40 would probably be a pass mark with the real judgement based on how many goals we as a team can kick in the finals, its not like we've had trouble scoring in the home & away season--ultimately getting Hall will be judged on what he gives us in the finals & whether he can help us kick a decent score when we face the other good sides.

I don't think his yearly tally matters just that he stands up in the big games, negates the key defenders rebound, feeds off a couple of goals and kicks a couple goals.

Barry Hall is not going to get anywhere around 100 goals next season. He will be lucky to get around 70 goals too!!!

I hope he can get 40-50 goals this year and I will be pleased.:)

i think he needs to kick 35+.
i also think that he wont have a huge impact in the first 10 or so games but i still think he will kick about 45 goals for the season.

I think you guys are underestimating how good a player Barry Hall is. He scored 31 goals from 11 games in a team on the decline and an injury-interrupted preseason.

With your teams excellent ball use and fast play he could easily get 50+ goals for the year if he plays 22 games. Far, far better player than Welsh and will also be a lead-up link player leaving plenty of space behind him for Johnson and Hahn.
