From Geelong, WB and Hawthorn?

Half a dozen, ten perhaps?

Wouldn't really make sense to play older players such as the Crawfords, the Johnsons and the Akers.

A week off would freshen them off - finally a true reward for finishing top 3.

And this "but they need momentum and form going into finals" is rubbish. A week off isn't going to suddenly going to effect the following weeks performance.

Thoughts?

Crawf probably needs to get a few games in a row under his belt as he has missed a few this season. I wouldn't think that many will be rested at all. They might play limited game time but will still be there on game day IMO.

More likely to give them a rest in the next fortnight, then give them a couple of hit outs before finals so they're in form etc.

Only should rest some players if it is absolutely nessercary. Resting players for the hell of it is stupid, takes momentum away from the team and that player.

Based on last year, Geelong rested one or two players at a time in the month leading up to the Finals, so I cant see them having half a dozen out for round 22. Dont want to flirt with winning form. if the Cats can win eveyr game from here on in, thats a hell of alot of momentum. (Same goes for everyone really.)
