Has a point, the game is moving closer and closer to NetballAFL rep notes "this is a difficult matter because it brings to the forefront one of the guiding principles of the Tribunal system being to prioritise the health and safety of AFL players."
aparently hes ment to be OSH rep then footballerThe time has come for a player to adjust his behaviour in a contest to reduce the risk of injury to an opposing player.
Rioli said he thought his duty was to commit to the contest. Frankly, that's the problem. It's time for the player's priority to be protecting other players from injury.

Lol no to the first, maybe to the second.Disgraceful. He lined Rowell up and tried to take his head off.
Toby Greene would have gotten 6 weeks.
The tribunal actually said there was high contact?Bahahaha numpties. Look the umpires didn't call a free, Rowell said it was fair, the fans at the ground clapped, the commentator at game didn't raise the issue, the AFL social media poster tweeted both player brave. Trial by dumbass fans is truely the worst.
Look AFL will not appeal the results. Because then the umpire has got to explain why such dangerous act was not a free kick. Because then they would have to sack their own umpire.Interesting decision and can’t wait for an identical incident in the coming weeks when a player cops 2+ weeks for it.
AFL tribunal broken before Rd2 even starts and what a joke these campaigners are. I thought Rioli was lucky to get just 1.
Wonder if the AFL appeals it……
Pretty simplistic way of looking at it and when have the AFL ever sacked an umpire? Umpire mistakes happen every week and a missed free kick is the norm these days.Look AFL will not appeal the results. Look do you agree if a player were to king hit another player right in front of an umpire and no free was to be awarded the umpire should get the sack? Because had rioli miss times that we would have had a similar impact incident.Pretty simplistic way of looking at it and when have the AFL ever sacked an umpire? Interesting precedent has been set but when has precedence ever been a factor anyway in this current AFL landscape I suppose.
