No surprise. He won in a fairly even field with our weak draw, One of the most laughable brownlow's in years. He was embarrassed to have even accepted it

Increases his trade value from a 4th rounder to late 3rd rounder
He might cop a regular tag. Would release our real playmakers to do damage

Negatives:

We are stuck with him in the middle for another 5 years
Too many negatives to list

Must admit, I felt justified that Priddis didn't make the all-australian team. I'd have to say it's our fans who have over-rated him and his abilities. No doubt because he had to shoulder the load after Cuz and juddy left us over the years. But even in our prime 06-07, he was a benchwarmer at best in a premiership team. We won't improve as a midfield, unless he leaves us. As a specialist clearance player he is behind the likes of J Selwood, Watson, Kennedy, Swallow, Mitchell. The gap will widen as he heads towards his 30's

For those who think winning the Brownlow changes the criticism, you don't grasp the thread - and yes even I get how stupid that sounds ...

With him playing the role he plays we won't win anything. Ever. When he moves on we'll be better.

I'm just annoyed it might further entrench him in the side. Which just delays our improvement.

Hi, I just mentioned this on the Freo thread. The delay between the 22 and 23rd round was longer than I ever remember it being. Would have been very easy to manipulate it to give Priddas the 2 votes to save the AFL the embarrassment of Fyfe being the highest vote getter.
I know I'm from Freo and maybe biased towards Fyfe, but that was definitely a very strange ending. Would be really interesting to go back to the last round and see how well Priddas played.
