How much longer can Priddis be debated?

Ironically it's non of "the regulars" either.
I thought Pants was simply referring to the fact it's melbourne. Who in there right mind would join such a basket case of a club? Nobody would even do it hypothetically
Melbourne don't have picks 2 & 3...
The Grand Final summed it up to me. If people want to sit back and claim that Priddis is at the same level as the likes of Jordan Lewis or Sam Mitchell (or Luke Hodge when he's in the middle) because he's got a brownlow medal, then you're a clueless twat.

Long time Bigfooty reader and very occasional poster but this thread has really annoyed me. Priddis tries every game he plays, showed that over a year with consistent performances rewards such as a Brownlow are achievable yet people still don't "rate" him. He isn't the worlds best kick .. But neither was C Judd. He isn't the fastest player , but neither is Luke Hodge. He's not the smartest footy player, but neither is Swan. But what he is is a super consistent player. That's my piece on the Priddis subject. Autographs are available if required.

The problem with that is that those players each have the flaws you mentioned, Priddis has all three flaws wrapped up into one neat package

You have elevated priddis' attributes of trying and consistency over the talents you mention he doesn't have. Those talents are crucial. I'm sure in your mind it was logical but when you actually read what you have suggested it is ludicrous.
If all it took was trying and consistency then all of us could play AFL standard.
For all his effort and consistency he is rewarded with a brownlow and a b&f.
Kudos to priddis but these are individual awards. Our team hasn't won anything since he has been the center of the midfield.
The flaws you mention he has are what is detrimental to our team. We can't afford the guy who gets the most football in our side to have these flaws, or at least have all of them.
He only does one thing well and that is getting the ball.
I'm glad if all your employer looks for is someone who tries and doesn't actually help the company achieve anything.

How come all opposition players rate him so highly then? I don't think any arguments I have will change your view which is fair enough. But my opinion he is exceptionally underrated by his own supporters which is sad.

Look at those babes, they are household names, Priddis had a better year then Pendles for example but the players on their little MVP checklist wouldn't have thought of him. Due to his quiet nature. What's crazy is that you asked why the players rate Priddis so highly, I provide evidence that they don't rate him in the top ten, and you then dismiss the players ratings of players, who you just offered up as proof that Priddis is great. And I don't see how you can possibly say that he's quiet in football terms when was the most prolific player in terms of possessions this season. Maybe he's just not as good as you say?

Yes its crazy isn't it. We should all be praising our entire team for their awesome achievement of finishing ninth.
It has nothing to do with his "quiet nature". That's a load of shit.
It has everything to do with what impact a player has on a game, and in Priddis's case it's next to minimal week in week out. He's never been considered a big game player nor a man for the moment, because he does absolutely nothing in the way of dragging his team over the line.
His 30 touches are the same every single week, win, lose or draw. Ineffectual and unnoticeable, save for the clanger which hurts us.
