It was not a racist attack. There was nothing racist at all about the brochure that was distributed. If there was you can guarantee that the politically correct NSW Police would have creamed their pants at the prospect of charging some rogue libs under the racial vilification laws which exist in NSW.

The problem that the Labor Party has is that the information in the brochures were correct.

1. Did Keating let the Sheik into Australia despite security concerns? Yes
2. Dis the ALP Shadow Foreign Minister condemn the execution of the Bali bombers? - Yes
3. Does the ALP support the construction of a mosque in St Mary? - Yes

If the ALP believes in the above three points then thats fine - but they shouldnt shy away from their beliefs. If they are pro islam then so be it - they should advertise this to the nation. The brochure actually helped the ALP advertise one of their most proud traditions - supporting islam in Australia.

The only thing wrong with the brochure was that it misrepresented the author - a minor discrepency really.
