The trouble with your comment above Jimmy is that NOP plays seniors for Jindera and not the O&M Jets, therefore I don't think you'll get the opportunity to take 3 weeks.

Personally though I'd take 8 weeks for belting someone from Jindera!
There the sort of comments that i love, and by the way were did you get that picture from, it looks like the same one i have in the garage.Oh and by the ay the Jets cut me from there squad , i couldnt keep up.

peter griffin, i like the cut of your jib. i respect you for sticking up for nop. i know you are not from jindera and most of us like to see jindera get beaten, but ripping into nop for letting known his opinion (which is what the site is about) and the comings and goings in jindera is crap. nop i am not from jindera, but love to hear what is going on in our league, keep up the good work and carry on with the accurate league news.
as for jacka, who cares now, he has bought the real estate business, and for his own business sake would be smarter to play for howlong, anyone can see that, yes even those from jindera. they must be disappointed but he is gone and im sure they are over it and looking forward.
Have a mate a R/W and says no real awesome recruits but they will be around the same mark as last year. compeditive and make 5th or 6th, but not much more, his words not mine.
personally, looking forward to seeing saints play and hopefully go alright, long time coming for locals, best wishes for the old fellas who have supported the clubs over the years. looking forward to a good game when you play us. Carn the cats

I ask you the same question, where are your stats? Pull your head in swanny, NOP keep us up to date with your club, which is what this forum is for, and it wouldnt hurt a few others who complain about you singing Jindera all the time to throw us some info about there respective clubs.
So blokes who are sick of hearing about jindera, spill the beans about some other clubs.
Peter griffen likee your work also

i think you'll find barnes only struggled against culcairn (schuberg had his measure the couple of times) kicked 7 against jindera in a losing side i believe. Doesnt matter who u are ya still gotta kick em'. 88 aint a bad return and didnt even get a guernsey for interleague! Watched howlong train the other night looked ok, the footy club musn't be too bad out there, they've nailed 2 signings off jindera now i believe in ash dedini and karl jacka, both clubs have been succesful in the last few years or so, could it possibly the club itself that is pushin these blokes away?

there ya go freq flyer and NOP... someones done the research and i had a feeling that this was the case! if ya kick 88 goals in a 20 game season that averaging 4.4 goals a game! u would take that return from any forward.. so i suppose u could agree with previous posts that he is the best goal kicker in the league! FACT!

So u pull your head in freq flyer! unless u know better

i think it is you who needs to pull their head in swanny, obviously a howlong fan, at least nop shows humility when talking about jindera, maybe you should learn to do the same.
anyone got any decent news or questions about whats happening in our league. nop-jindera, kam-saints, anyone else willing to share how their clubs are going

Holbrook are playing Thurgoona at Thurgoona in early March. Brookers have a very young list but will be competitive. H will have them fit and has a pretty handy midfield but will lack forwards to kick scores and a key back to stop some of the bigger forwards. Miller would have been a great addition for Holbrook, especailly with Hickey potentially on the move. They will have the benefit of a handy draw only playing some of the stronger clubs only once. Have some good kids in Baker, Travy Jones, Stevie Taylor who will get a lot out of getting good game time.

On the topic of forwards, having played down back for the past 10 years in the Hume league and on all forwards mentioned in previous posts, I found Barnes a difficult matchup not only because he is a good lead up forward but probably the best kick out of all those forwards and made the most out of his touches and personally, I would rate him just above Donnan. I think Hilton was the most challenging purely due to his size and the fact that Jindera's delivery of the footy over the last 2 seasons has been first rate and hit him lace out most times in space, I also think that if the Saints can play Glanville as a permanent forward that he would kick a high number of goals in 2010 as he is a very underated player. It would be interesting to read who people think the better forwards, middies or backs have been over the past 10 years in the HFL.

Backs: Hosie (osb)
Midfield: Ben Nicholson, Joel Mackie, Simon Kenny, Manny Edmumds,
Forwards: Hilton, Shaun Myles, Hayden Gleeson

Pretty quick off the top of my head, surely someone will have some more. Others that have joined the HFL this year might slot in to that list aswell such as Jay Kohler and Luke Schilg...

Saints have 2 prac matches coming up, one in canberra not exactly sure when and another a week later against Barny im pretty sure. Training has been pretty good getting 40+ there going to be interesting to see who runs out round 1 with lots of competition for spots. Great to see some of the boys have been carving up the track such as McKimmie, Murphy, Michael KB, Brad Scott, Chris Boulton, Josh Land and Aaron Livermore.

Barnes is a fat n lazy shit luke schuberg and ayden brown both gave him a bath last year n not surprising he didnt make the interleague team when he kicked bout a 3rd or his goals against the lower sides

Bit of Holbrook bias having played there, really Osborne, Holbrook (early 2000s), Howlong, Cul, Lockhart and of late Jindera were the only clubs to have real sustained success in the last 10 years and have stand out quality over longer periods of time.

Backs: Aylmore, Lanyon (HOL), Stephen Clarke, Haddrill(OSB), Graham Fruen (Cul),
Mids: Duryea, Semmler, Hargreaves (HOL), Craig Smith, Adam and Luke Gooden, Peter Mohr, Darren Howard, (OSB), Mackie (Jind), Wishy Barber (Cul) Derek and Luke Kohlhagen (Walla), Firman (Lock)
FWDsd: Mark Byrne (HOL late 90's early 2000s), Mick Hewitt (Lock), Adam Schneider, Matt Gleeson, Armstrong (OSB), Troy Hawkins (Jindera early 2000), Ben Cain, Jamie Macri, Anthony Ross (HOW),
Rucks: Coutts (HOL), Hayden Gleeson (OSB), Paul Scouller (Lock) Whiterod (Walla),

Um, if Howlong finished sixth, doesn't this statement mean he kicked 29 goals against the teams 7-14 and 59 against the top five?

I obviously haven't seen any of them play (except Hilton and that was in defence at North Albury) so I can't say who the best one is, so won't try.

And NOP - great work, keep us Sydney dwellers up to date.

Yeah ur right sorry i should of wrote he kicked 3 quarters of his goals against the lower sides. U would of saw brown play at north too? N maybe schuberg in the 2nds

Big Al, my info says that Steven Taylor is playing cricket for Northcote next year and will be doing uni in melb, therefore with a big pre season with his cricket, he wont be playing footy again this coming season.

After loving hearing all the banter about the great josh land last year, i am informed that even though he trained at the start of the pre season with north albury, he really isnt shining like his father likes to tell anyone who will listen. I hear that with all new recruits that it will be the likes of josh who will get dropped to the seconds. i hear that even though he is training alright, it will be the likes of land, ianson, elliott, oconnor, livermore??(only cos the coaches arent impressed with his fitness and doesnt always do the team thing). which makes saints seconds side fairly strong as well.

Also i hear that howlong coaches are disappointed with the amount and quality of cattle turning up to pre season. and the coaches are less confident for the season than they are letting on

Unfortunate for Brookers there, I haven't been out to Holbrook for a while and last heard he was having a kick, Steve's a good kid and young sportsman that the faithfull would of loved to seen back in the green and gold.

Elliot has gone to North Albury, O'Connor played mainly in the 2's last year and Livermore was 3rd in the B and F so i would imagine he would be one of the 1st picked.:)

I expect our boys (lockhart) to slip off the pace a little this year.

McPherson is unreplaceable for his on-field leadership and I think anyone who saw him play last year will have alot of respect for the bloke from purely watching the way he goes about his business. Was by far and away our best player last year and a deserved azzi medalist.

Also lost the likes of the versitile Mitch Pilon which will leave a hole in the side. Was the type who played several roles and played those roles well. Add this to Matt McClure (who I am not 100% sure is leaving but believe he is going back to Collingullie) who was rock solid last year and we are bound to drop down the ladder somewhat. Another loss is that of Zack Sheather who spent his time mainly in the ruck and up forward. The young fella has went off to uni in Canberra and with our lack of size this year his loss could prove signifcant. There may be others but these are all that I am aware of at this stage.

In relation to Osborne, they will once again have a quality outfit with gains of Munson and Maloney from RFL.

Tom Alexander still playing there?

Yes, saw a fair bit of Ayden Brown - he's a quality player at O&M level so imagine he'd be going alright at RWT. I can't recall seeing much of Schuberg at North, but did see him play when he was at Murray Magpies. Handy key back.

you sound mad, Mad Man. the only bath aydan brown gave barnesy was in the massive puddle in the forward line when howlong played rand. there was at least 3 inches of water all over the ground. i do recall barnesy put aydan flat on his arse but, not bad for a fat lazy shit! any forward to kick a bag on that day i'd tip my hat too.

stab at the ladder. top two wont be far out in front but just have enough on the others. rest of top 5 could be in any order, very even, and knock off top 2 on their day. from their it will be daylight to the rest. 35 goal diff b/w top 5 and coly down. any decent signings for henty? or the old coreen teams? how bout walla? after losing 15 they'd need a few. good luck to the saints, they will be strong but i think they need a year to get the winning culture back up and running.

I agree Mr Biggles! I think the saints might not get to the top this coming season. However if there is no big disagreements (with local kids & selection) and the players gel, they might be a scary team. Although i dont know if their forward line has what it needs to win the flag. But if they rotate Glanville and Storey through the forward line, that will add to their attack.

Hilton is 100% not playing at Jindera, so their forward line might not be as strong.

True Bomber definately not playing but forward line will still consist of the likes of the Garland Bros, castles ,Bryce Scott and a couple of resting midfielders is still going to take a hell of a lot of stopping. Will need more then 2 or 3 decent backman to stop that lot at once.

yes PP very true about bomber he and Kirby are expecting which is great news for them. i see on the clearance list that Osborne have lost Marty Bahr which i believe is a big loss. Rob Murray rated him very highly as a small forward. So that makes who?? Hart K Bahr, M Bahr as definates also believe Flanagan has gone back to Yack, anyone else that i may have missed from Osborne.
I have played footy with Munson, Maloney, Schneider and O Gooden and all are very handy so i think Osborne will be close to where they were

Has anyone else heard that the coach of Culcairn has quit to go travelling or something? I think he is a first year coach but still be a massive loss at this time of year considering games are only a matter of weeks away. I got this news about 3rd hand but they were pretty sure it was on the money. Anyone heard anything about it?

He's definitly gone overseas but I think it was only for a month or so. Should be back before Round 1. Strange time to organise a big holiday for someone in his position though, but anyway he might come back totally refreshed and ready for a big year :thumbsu:
