Not sure what quality would still be available this time of the year. Most clubs will be swinging into pre season within the next week or 2.

True, poor form signing kids for $$$, next thing netballers will be wanting match payments! The Albury kids may as well go to other O and M or bush clubs cause with 'Money Bags' bringing in imports year in, year out its they won't be getting a run in the seniors any time soon. Maybe Aker would be better off grabbing some of these kids.

In the end, its probably not the worst thing they can do. Are the kids going to go there for no money? No.
Are gun players going to go there for Small amount of doe?
No.
Im guessing they are paying some kids who are probably doing an apprenticeship a couple hundred a game, so they stick around for a few years hopefully improve & eventually get to a point where they dont have to be the highest bidders to get signatures. I guess the Theory is good, hopefully it works for them.

No orange peeler big call premiership favs still have to gell team together.
But a huge boost to the club. Dis regarding reserve players from the O/M a big advantage as well it looks like they have recruited proven 1st eighteen footballers.:thumbsu:
Your thoughts
Also this is not the coach of R/W for those who thought it was :p

Having come from canberra and still having a lot of contacts there. Kimball and roulstone would be top line o and m midfielder. Mesman would also be very handy at o and m leval.

Nice to hear NOP wouldn't be surprised if they un veil another recruit in the coming weeks:cool:
Good to see a club from the outposts of the league taking on the heavyweights.
some club officials have told prospective recruits in the past not to go there as the club is a BASKET CASE so it is good that the club got very proactive this year

NOP, agree fully,, these guys are proven gun players in a comp(the Neafl/SEAFL combine) that is of a better standard then the O&M. I have seen these guys play at this level, and are quality players.
Downside is, not training with the club, keeping up a extreme level of fitness, and the travel,,,, like from Canberra to Walbundrie, and away games at other clubs is about a 3 and a half hour drive one way.
Now that's about a 7 to 8 hour drive return every week,,, that's hard yakka.

Agree 6 could be over the top. Will be interesting to see how they try to fit these guys into the points system given the coach said no losses to there existing 7 points and these guys are experienced top line players; kimbal (4) roulstone (3-4) messman (3-4) gray (2-3) maiden (2-3) Allan (1-2) ?????
