Mid way thru the race we now have Bulldogs in fron followed by Brisbane then a gap to Collingwood who appears to be tiring, then Carlton, Syndey, Hawthorn, Geelong starting to wind up, then a further gap to Essendon, St Kilda, West Coast, Pt Adelade, Adelaide, Kangaroos then a long gap to Melbourne Richmond then Fremantle in last place
100 metres out its Bulldogs by a nose to Brisbane then a long gap to a fast finishing St Kilda with Geelong trailing with Carlton on the outside followed by Collingwood who appears to have run out of legs. The rest of the field cant win.
Its all over Bulldogs win by a long kneck from Brisbane in 3rd place a gallant run by St Kilda followed by Geelong who apeared to be struggling towards the end. Then a gap to Carlton followed by a fast finishing Hawthorn then a lack luster run by Collingwood who finished 7th in 8th came Adelaide who was gone at the 100 mtre mark. Then a gap to Essendon in 9th followed by Sydney in 10th then West Coast who was never likely. Then Pt Adelaide in 12th Kangaroos in 13th then a long gap to Melbourne followed by Richmond with Fremantle finishing dead last.
