Pretty good team.
Still don't thinks Witts is ready for AFL, prob get subbed early.
Excited to see what young will bring.
Go the Krak.
Martin will be back.
Can't wait to see Beamer and Goldy back next week.
Who will lose their spot? If Harry is ready too 3 must go.
Witts for Goldy.
Blair for Beams.
Maxwell for Harry O

If Maxwell doesn't execute to AFL grade this week it's time to cut him loose and let him earn his spot back through the vfl. I'd rather see Johnson back in if he's fit.

A ruck division of Witts and Hudson doesn't inspire me...especially since Witts also needs to double as the makeshift second forward.

However, we don't have much other choice considering Grundy is still finding his feet at VFL level after injury, and Keefe has been playing defence and no ruck.

Grundy has shown signs, but is not winning much of the ball, so can't be expected to come into the side until he gets his fitness up.

The only other option is Paine...but he can't ruck so rules him out.

I'd be happy if they tried to get Witts one out and hope he kicks 2 cheapies. Then let him take as much load of Hudson as possible.

Wonder if brooms will get a run soon.. ?
I'd say the thing keeping him out is the fact that we already have too many first year players.

Given his glandular fever in the pre-season, I'm more than happy to leave 2013 as a development year where he rebuilds his strength and fitness, and really focusses on a big pre-season.

He is doing well at VFL level, but he is not winning enough of the football probably to be a frontline midfielder. That's probably a fitness issue. No rush on him or Grundy I reckon. Happy for both to just keep getting match fitness and build into a big pre-season.

Pretty happy with the ins. Looking forward to seeing Young in the Black and White.
Shame Harry O is out though, was looking forward to seeing him and Young on each wing.
Krakouer the excitement machine back and Reidy is an automatic inclusion when fit.
Witts is the one I am worried about but we didnt really have many other choices at this stage. Have faith.

If Gibbs lines up across the Half back line I would play Macaffer as a defensive forward on him. Caff will still manage to hit the scoreboard.
Maybe try Hudson starting up forward and Wittsy in the centre bounce? Huddo is pretty aggressive and offers more defensively.

B - Maxwell Brown Williams
HB - Shaw Reid Seedsman
C - Young Swan Sidebottom
HF - Blair Cloke Macaffer
F - Elliott Hudson Krakouer
R - Witts Ball Pendlebury
INT - Dwyer Sinclair Kennedy/Thomas
SUB - Kennedy/Thomas

Bucks has been playing Sinclair as a small defender of late so you would assume that Sinclair gets Garlett, Williams to possibly take Betts.
Brown/Reid to play on Waite and Kreuzer/Casboult who ever is up forward.

Looking at the side, we have a quality back 6.
Midfield has alot of star power.
We have the best key forward on the ground.

Doesn't really get any bigger; MCG, friday night footy, against Carlton.

What a great opportunity for our boys.

After last week I'm really expecting our leaders to step up and have a big say in how the game goes. Pendles, Maxwell, Shaw, Swan, Cloke imparticular.

Last chance saloon really. It's backs against the wall and we will certainly find out what this group of players stand for and want from this season. A bad loss here and you can put your nuts on Bucks making huge changes and playing more and more kids.

Carlton seem to always get up and about for us; and I think the incentive to really hurt our season motivates their players. Would probably swing towards Carlton if I was a punter, but I believe we are good enough to win. Go pies

I am looking forward to seeing how witts performs. I would like to see him play deeper and cloke come up the field a bit (I know it takes cloke from where he is most dangerous). But I also think we need a change in our forward line. Witts should atleast bring ball to ground and allow Krak to crumb. Also with cloke leading further up the ground hopefully he takes a couple of defenders with him.

Good luck for tonight, hopefully there's a massive crowd for what is an important game for both sides.
No matter who wins, hopefully both sides put in and come out of it injury free.:thumbsu:

Has it been done?

This is ****ed, listen to you spuds bagging our own players.
We aren't Melbourne, look at what this club has given us.
I know this year has been a let down, but they have given us so much joy over the years, once we get to September this year, its a whole new season.
