LOL. Call me naive but I just don't think US ICE border control officers are going to bail me up and put me in chains to examine my electronic devices for evidence of lame arsed posts made on the backwaters of an Aussie rules footy forum.
They did it to a French scientist in Houston back on the 9th. Border officials claimed it was a random check, searched their phone, found text messages critical of the regime and then sent them home.

But subsequent to that story appearing, the Dept of Homeland Security issued this official statement:

Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement Thursday that ā€œany claim that his removal was based on political beliefs is blatantly false.ā€

ā€œThe French researcher in question was in possession of confidential information on his electronic device from Los Alamos National Laboratory ā€” in violation of a non-disclosure agreement ā€” something he admitted to taking without permission and attempted to conceal,ā€ she said.

ā€œIf an individual has material discovered on their electronic media that raises flags during an inspection, it can result in further analysis. Claims that such decisions are politically motivated are completely unfounded,ā€ Hilton Beckham, CBP Assistant Commissioner of Public Affairs, said in a statement.

I of course don't know the real truth of what happened here. But the idea that the space industry scientist was 'randomly' selected for his phone to be confiscated and searched seems to me to be lacking credibility as was the suggestion he was deported for posting views critical of Trump.

The French Secret Service (DGSE) is just as likely as any other secret service agency to leak false accounts of events to the press for political reasons or to save embarrassment.

These are testing times but I think we all need to look at politically charged media stories with a more critical eye than we ever did previously - that applies to the full length of the political spectrum.

If you're ever feeling inadequate and will never amount to anything, read the chat log of the highest office holders in the USA discussing bombing Yemen and realise even these intellectual pygmies made it to the top. It reads like an ExpectToWin transcript.
This post from Waltz - US National Security Advisor - had me laughing. You just know he dresses up in battle fatigues to play COD BlackOps on weekends.

So Trump the clown announces a 25% tariff on all cars.

Gee I wonder who benefits from this šŸ¤”
Australia had a 15% tariff on foreign cars even up to the year 2005. Then it went 10%, 5% in 2010. Now we don't have a car industry. We still have a tariff on Luxury Cars valued over $80k, even though we no longer make cars here. Make sense of that!

You don't have to explain i understand the whole America first thing i get it.

But we all know who is the biggest winner out of this, let's not pretend.

At work we've been told if travelling to the United States not to take any electronic devices weren't not willing to never see again.

Randomly selected? No. He would've been identified and targetted to be searched.

This isn't even something new with the US.
