If Dick Cheney's endorsement is anything but a net loss for Harris then I'll be shocked. A corrupt war criminal who represents everything the average Trump voter hates about Washington politicians.
Who is a worse criminal out of Cheney & Trump in your opinion?

Who has had more charges...

Feel free to compare their respective courts cases.

If you were one of the families whose loved ones went to fight and die in wars Cheney pushed so he could enrich himself? No contest.

Massive speculation mounting that Trump is creating deals with MAGA Mike Johnson to refuse to certify the election. By manipulating betting markets and polls to make Trump look like he is the clear favourite to publicly sow doubt into the election results. But this has become clear what the end game is since he hinted there is a plan with the speaker of the house.

If the democrats dont get control of congress, the plan is for republicans to vote down the election results using close results of swing states to enact the 12th amendment. The amendment was designed to be enacted if both candidates fail to secure the 270 electoral college votes.

This is a hail mary by Trump because it is heavily reliant on so many pieces falling into place.

1. republicans win congress in a red wave (doesnt look like happening)
2. enough republicans like Trump enough to tow the party line. (which they dont, not to mention the danger they put themselves in if they hail from a blue state and vote in a republican, which I cant see many having the appetite for)
3. Trump wins enough states (over 25) to get it across the line
4. the state members vote in Trump.

First of all when Trump teases "a secret" it usually turns out to be nothing. He's a classic "tune into the next episode for the answer" kind of guy. This is almost certainly a gambit to try and make Democrats waste time and panic over nothing.

The constitution states "the person having the greatest number of electoral votes shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed." This means the only way this even gets to the House is if there is a tie in the electoral college. They would have to rely on states sending alternate slates of electors, which they tried and failed to do in 2021. Many of the people who tried to carry that out are now in jail.

The law that Congress put into place after Jan 6 specifies that the choice of electors must occur in accordance with the laws of the state enacted prior to election day.

Even then only the state's governor can send the electors to Congress for certification. They are relying on governors breaking federal law to overturn the electoral college and send their own slate of electors to certify the election. Problem is there are Democratic governors in six of the seven swing states - PA, MI, AZ, NV, NC and WI.

Dont get me wrong, he will fail.

He is relying on congress ignoring the consitution by playing this narrative. But too many republicans dont like him for this absurd idea to happen.

As for Trump and his ideas, he is a grifter. I remember 4 months ago he went running to the press stating he had the ultimate documentation to prove the election was stolen and he will present in two weeks. We are all yet to hear anything. What a surprise.

2 days in a row news.com.au having leading stories at this time of day (yesterday it was the main headline story) being anti Trump. What’s happening here?

And on the negative side, Harris blown out to 2.7-1 …

No, sorry, after almost a decade of this man standing astride global politics, and changing direction on a whim, and making fools of his own defenders, let’s cut the crap. It’s about the vibes, and those vibes are off.

Seriously off. Even more so, now, than they were in 2016 or 2020. The event in New York, with a line-up of speakers hand-picked by the Trump campaign, illustrated it.

If you read all those quotes above and think, “Yeah, those people are talking sense. They’re the good guys. That is the quality of person I want to be running the most powerful country on earth,” then I really don’t know what to tell you.

This stuff is not normal. It’s not mainstream. It flirts with, and sometimes crosses, the border that divides the extreme from the utterly unhinged.

TDS on steroids here.

Speculation LOL

US elections are ALL about turnout and women have been the most motivated since Dobbs. Kamala leads with women voters 60/40. You only have to look at the '22 midterms when there was supposed to be a red wave and Democrats were winning seats in places like Kansas.

Trump's biggest new support is among young men and that demographic has always been the softest in terms of turnout. The Republican get out the vote operation has been poor as well.
Didn't they leave that up to Musk and there are reports that they've just "phoned it in" (claiming they've door knocked but actually haven't)?

Pretty obvious you mob haven't watched too many of Harris's interviews with Political commentators...hundred of times she can't answer the question and just waffles on with incoherent twaddle that has got nought too do with the question asked. No teleprompter or earpiece to assist and she's absolutely hopeless even with "friendly" commentators. You're either in denial or disingenuous or both if you can't admit to that.
Have you listened to Trump AT ALL? Compared to him, she sounds like THE most eloquent person in the world. Not only that, she at least HAS policies. He, on the other hand, after 8 years, only has "concepts of a plan". FMD.

So, was watching a lot of election coverage on the polls recently and someone brought up a good point. Since July, Trump has failed to progress beyond 47% of the popular vote. He has stayed true and failed to move forward while Kamala has progressed as recently to 51%. So for all the pro Trump rhetoric from some polsters claiming Trump is in front, he isnt.

Also Trump is blatantly advertising for $100 bets to be placed on him. Which is an open attempt to manipulate betting markets to make Trump look like the favourite.
I really don't think the polls are telling the true story.

LOL

Being more eloquent than Trump is a very low bar...

It’s a zombie cult, exhibit 1,436:

Yet you didn't answer the question - who has been convicted of more criminal charges - Trump or Cheney?

Do you think it's appropriate for a convicted criminal to be President?

We shall see.
We will but it still stands, you are believing what you want to believe because Polls are showing it's a close race currently.

If I was an American I couldn't bring myself to vote for either on the grounds neither are fit for the top job IMO.

I would vote for her in a heart-beat. You haven't shown ANY reason why she isn't fit for the job, not one. I've listened to most of her town halls, and she presents well. Far better than most and a shit load better than Trump (but as you say, that wouldn't be hard).

No doubt there are better candidates out there somewhere, but what has Harris done to make her unfit to be a candidate? Trump on the other hand...

and yet you keep lumping them in the same basket.

Harris is infinitely ahead in intelligence, morality, dignity, credibility and anything else befitting a presidential candidate. Trump is merely a rich hideous dumb AF excuse for a human being, and I reiterate, I've voted conservative forever basically. But Jesus, Trump.... FMD

Some of her quotes will certainly go down in history

The amazing Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, has made some interesting statements throughout her career in office, but the most memorable are the word salads that catch us off guard. If you get confused about what she said, I do too, so don’t feel bad. Here are 10 quotes from VPOTUS that might make you question her elocution and oratorical ability.

#10. “We must together. Work together. To see where we are. Where we are headed, where we are going and our vision for where we should be. But also see it as a moment to, yes. Together, address the challenges and to work on the opportunities that are presented by this moment.”

An interesting word salad from our Vice President describing us working together. I’m especially interested in the part in which we face the challenges ahead.

#9. “What else do we know about this population, 18 through 24? They are stupid!”

Admittedly, this quote is somewhat out of context, nonetheless, Vice President Kamala Harris can’t have her cake and eat it too, as she still does disrespect young Americans despite relying on their votes.

#8. “With us in government. We campaign with thee plan! Uppercase T uppercase P thee plan! And then the environment is such that we’re expected to defend thee plan!

In a lab in Paris, our Vice president took on faux French accent as she emphasized “thee plan!” I was personally baffled by the accent she formulated out of thin air. Maybe add French to her convoluted heritage?

#7. “Elections matter. And when folks vote, they order what they want — and in this case they got what they asked for. I went off script a little bit.”

At a speech in the White House, to celebrate Joe Biden’s nomination of Ketjanji Brown earlier this year, our Kamala Harris would tell us the importance of elections and the amazing administration that came with the 2020 election.

#6. “I love Hanukkah because it really is about the light, and bringing light where there has been darkness. And there is so much work to be done in the world, to bring light.”

Kamala Harris describes the importance of Hanukkah, the reasons why she loves it, and the purpose. Just remember the purpose is the light.

#5. “So, Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong, and it goes against everything that we stand for.”

Kamala Harris gives an extraordinary explanation of the current Ukraine conflict between the very large country of Russia which is bullying the small country of Ukraine. Thank you Vice President Harris for the geography lesson.

#4. “But we all watched the television coverage of just yesterday. That’s on top of everything else that we know and don’t know yet, based on what we’ve just been able to see. And because we’ve seen it or not doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.”

In a press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda, our Vice President would help us understand what may or may not be happening in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

#3. “Do not come. Do not come.”

University Democrats most quoted Kamala Harris quote (from my experience), has Kamala Harris telling immigrants from Guatemala to not come to the United States-Mexico border. She seems to have changed her tune a bit.

#2. “The significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time.”

At an event in Sunset, Louisiana, Vice President Harris was giving a speech on affordable internet access and told us about the significance of the passage of time.

#1. “It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day. Every day it is time for us to agree that there are things and tools that are available to us to slow this thing down”

My personal favorite quote, the Today show, Craig Melvin interviewed Vice President Harris and asked if the administration will change course in fighting against COVID-19. Her response tells us her real thoughts about the things we should be doing and that time is every day.
