Most of their audience is in Australia, so yes they should bend over
No it shouldn't, it's in Ireland and the sun is not going to move for you just so the Timezones are to your liking. Irrespective of whether the audience is in Australia or not. Which it isn't entirely so, since there's in fact a country called Ireland out there that will be watching which you've flat out ignored.

Haven't got into the buildup, mainly because there doesn't seem to have been one, but I'll be watching. I still consider this to be far and away the 2nd best code of football on the planet...

Just saw its on at 4:30am, its gonna be a long night
Double check actual starting time - I think coverage might begin at 4:30 but the actual game might not start until 6am. AEST.

Only Hodge qualifies for that...alcoholics shouldn't get recognition.

Podgie is all that I'm looking forward to. Given the sensitivity the AFL have with regard to IR the very minimum I expect from Podgie is to turn up pissed and wrap an Irish head around a point post. Come on Podgie do it for Australia !!

International drinking rules:

If Hodge gets a touch, take a drink.
If Hodge scores an over, skull your drink
If Hodge gets a goal its time for burnouts on dandenong road.

Idiocy or pure greed? AFLTV is charging 8 EUR for Europeans this year to watch the IR online, with the draft thrown in as a 'bonus'.

So they stage a hybrid game, in large part to raise awareness of the sport internationally, then instead of making it easy for Mainland Europeans to watch it, they put up a barrier guaranteeing 95% of those considering watching will never pass the 'pay me' screen.

Utterly moronic.

What time does this actually start? Flicked over halfway through watching a show on Netflix and it's just talking at the moment.
They said 5:30 in Vic, I only just turned it on. It's 5:35 now and still previews.

How many ex AFL guys are playing for Ireland?

I missed the first page of the Irish line up, but noticed Michael Quinn (ex-Essendon) and Paul Cribbin (ex-Collingwood) on the second page.
