Just said Kerr will get the 3 Brownlow votes for his second half. A minute later says Selwood was best on ground.

Spent 5 minutes saying that Hurn is the barometer of the team. He must hear other commentators use a phrase and thinks that he better use that one sometime, only problem is that he rarely uses them in the correct context.

Also brought out one of my favourites pre-match - ESSINGDON!

I swear English must be his 2nd language the way he butchers it week in week out.

He has always been a boofhead with an inflated opinion of himself that's one of the reasons he was overlooked for Captain.

Agreed, has improved out of site, unfortunately still a shocker though. I find it enjoyable/humurous listening to him butcher the english language.

I think he has it all up there but cant get it out the way he likes.

I was just about to post this thread. He's ****ing horrible to listen to.
All he ever does is stammer compliments about the Eagles players, and if the Eagles are losing he stammers encouragment to them.
Not to mention he just points out the bleeding OBVIOUS when describing play, and then he'll go on a mini rant and finish it by talking about an Eagle.

Funny thing is, according to Jacko, Hurn along with about 5 other blokes were all the barometer of the Eagles team in 2006! I don't think he's quite grasped the meaning of that phrase...

Yep, just turned it on, Dangerfield kicks a goal and Jakovich says;

"You have to question the accountablility of Dangerfield, no-one was prepared to pick him up." Would have thought that it was the Dockers who need to be accountable then Glen?

Then he says;
"He's running unaided." Someone really should give him something to aid him when he's running. Maybe Glen means he's unattended or unmarked???

Really struggling with the language this evening. Someone needs to explain the meaning of the term 'pigeon holed', because he's butchered that one a few times today.
As far as most annoying commentator, calling a west coast game jacko would get the nod, but otherwise, he has some stiff competition in lynch, bartlett, walls, mcavaney, campbell, gossage... i could go on.

Ah, Jako. I loved the guy as a player, but boy he struggles in the commentry box. Sometimes he provides some good comedy though.
When Van Berlo was given a soft 50 in the last qtr:
