Or is Thomas one of the softest players to wear a Collingwood jumper in years? Twice in the last quarter (first 10 minutes) he shirked the issue rather than running in a straight line. Same can be said about Didak.

I love watching Collingwood play and when they are on song they are great (as they were against Carlton). However, I don't think Collingwood can/will be successfull if these sort of players are running around. Come the end of the year they will be found out.

Run in straight lines and make sure your opposition players know you do. That is the only way to shake half a century of failure. What does everyone think?

Thomas is light but he is far from soft. He is very brave, he works hard and he has flair. He will be a very good player for Collingwood for a long time. Didak is soft but I’ll cop it for his ability to get the ballad n use it. Didak is an out and out gun and every single club would take him without a moments hesitation. Both players are part of the foundation we have to build a premiership list around.

I agree Didak is a super player, BUT when it counts he won't stand up. Thomas has been hyped by Eddie and the media. You can't base a premiership side around him as he is a 'flash in the pants'. Players like Heath Shaw and Pendelbury are the future of Collingwood. Thomas is a pick 30 not pick 2. That is unless he tries to forget about about doing no-look handballs over his head to nobody.

When it counts he gets the ball and kicks the goal. He is a probably our most talented and after Rocca our most important player. He has come back form a knee like he had a cold.

Perhaps. I don’t care about that. I watched the final v Dogs and I said then that Thomas was the best young player I’d seen at Collingwood for a long time. He kept going and tried his guts out until the final siren and he was brave and skilful as usual. I’m not sure what you expect from 19 year old second year players but he has already delivered more than most.

You can’t base a premiership around any single midfielder - not even Buckley. Some flash is exactly what we need. The 3 you mentioned are the foundation along with Didak and a few others. Thomas is most certainly part of the future premiership plans – and a big part.

Your response is the reason why Collingwood will continue to get so close but not over the line. Rocca should be traded. Period. Or delist him so he can join his brother. If you can't kick goals from 30 metres out you shouldn't be playing AFL football. Just think, if he kicked straight against the Lions in the Grand Final a few years ago there would have been another premiership in the trophy cabinet.

Cannot win a premiership without a ruckman who can hold his own in the ruck. Cannot win a premiership as long as OBree plays for the club. Turnover king

Troll.
Not a pies supporter either.

That’s funny. Ask some of the posters here about how I accept what I think is sub par performance or getting close and not wining flags. Frankly my response is reflective only of your ignorance. Pick better marks than Didak and Thomas FFS if you want to be critical.

Ok, I am the first to be critical of players that can’t kick straight like Tarrant, Cloke and even Rocca but you clearly have NFI. Kick straight in the GF? He kicked 4-1 and the 1 is debatable. Tarrant was the one who missed the gaols and he did get traded.

If anything Mark T has been a huge critic of the club (a constructive 1 at that) more so then most of us on this board. The majority of us knows his views and in many respects he is quite correct in what he says.

U say delist Rocca, but u over look his importance to our structure. The fact that he is there he provides a target to kick too, if he doesnt kick the goals we have didak, davis and thomas and co to rove the spilt ball. I think without rocca we would be a worse side. And who would you replace rocca with? I think its stupid saying that this player should go and no alternative is offered. Secondly, there were numerous games last year that Didak stood up and won us the game. ANZAC day. The most memorable for me was against the Lions while he didnt kick goals he continued to harrass, chase and win the ball, and set up goals in our 50. It was great to watch. Thomas also is an important part of our future and if everyone played with the guts determination like thomas we would be a much better side.

From a bulldogs supporter with no motive for talking up an opposition player, Thomas is going to be a gun. He's certainly not soft but with a lightly framed body gets knocked around a bit. That may be giving a false impression. The guy will be a match winner.

Yep, a very ignorant troll.

Thomas has plenty of guts. It bore me to tears when people say he's soft, its a patent lie.

I had a posse of 50 year old drunks cakling about the pies being "boned" and "too slow" all day. Turns out the most sensible one was a Doggie and the biggest mouth was a ring-in North supporter.

Apparently we were too slow while Thomas was accelerating away from Aker while bouncing the ball, and we were too soft when Thomas was sticking his head over the ball in packs for the umpteenth time.

I guess knobs need top have a line they can trot out to denigrate good players. I guess they call Thomas soft because he looks like a kid. If only the Dogs coaches were as dumb as this troll, we'd stitch them up every time.

No response at all see's these threads die a quick death.......now I have just kept this thing alive longer than it deserves.

Pure idiocy does not require a response.

I shouldn't be responding to this obvious troll....but, Thomas is a future Champion and as has been stated previously is doing pretty bloody well for a 19 year old in his second season. Your comments about Rocca show that maybe we should give you the benefit of the doubt, that you are not a troll, but in fact an imbecilic moron.

Dale thomas soft? hes go for the ball harder than most of our team, the guys tiny compared to the average afl player and your bagging him???, didak looked unfit.

Prebles. Please dont go to the footy and please barrack for Richmond.
Your statements are very broad and inacurrate. Thomas and Didak are...... classs finishers. Not bashers and crashers. All good teams must!!! have them. To think a small crumbing forward and small second year player are soft based on a poor second half by the whole team is Channel 9 earth shattering news. You are intitled to your opinion, but i for one will enjoy seeing both do their thing in years to come. It can only be a good thing as far as i am concerned.
