The golden girl of Sydney chasing goes around tonight in the ladbrokes middle distance championship. Big test but I reckon she’s up to it and $3.50 is pretty good value I reckon. Dapto race 7 no. 1 Midnight Spritz. Go you good thing!!
Boy oh boy how good is Saturday shaping up to be already. Have only had a chance to look at Flemington yet but as always this derby day will be a classic. A few early ones so far:
Race 4 no. 8 Steparty. Loves the track and is ready to win. $20 is a gift from above.
Race 6 no. 6 First Settler. Loves the straight Mickey Dee is a gun. $15. Yes please 🙏.
The Derby. Brutal race. Who knows? I will be backing Politley Dun. Fingers crossed.
Race 8 no. 11 Grinzinger Belle. Has been in my Blackbook for a while. Seriously impressive first up. Very keen here.
What an epic day this promises to be and we’ve only looked at one meeting so far. Good luck to all and happy punting.

If you bet on any Dapto race that means you have a gambling problem.

Spritz on again tonight? Yes please!
Should be a good day of racing on Saturday too, looking forward to it. :thumbsu:

Mrs childhood dog was called Zoe. We backed a horse called Magical Zoe at $17 for Melbourne Cup a couple months ago.

It never ended up coming across from England.

It had beat Onesmoothoperator and Sea King by around 4 lengths each who have come out and brained them in Geelong and Bendigo Cups and are now 2nd and 4th fave for M Cup.

F U Magical Zoe connections, should have brought her over

That sucks mate but atleast you had a crack at the early markets.

As the market would suggest a few horses $5-$20 could probably all win it on their day. None fill me with confidence though so I've looked wider and landed on Warp Speed and Sharp n Smart.

Warp Speed had been chasing home the best in Japan and finishing close up last prep. Probably needed the run at Caulfield as it hadn't started for 6 months. I think it lacks a bit of high speed acceleration as seems to be ridden out of the gate in replays I watched and lost a length or two when they quickened at the 800m at Caulfield. The 3200m should help that and has drawn well so should just be able to put to sleep early and relax.

Sharp n Smart I probably haven't been a fan of the past 12 months but was a class 3yo and last start had to give them weight and a headstart at MV. He was flat around the bend but finished off like a horse who can run more distance. Usually Serpentine is one of the topweights and is always thereabouts in Group type staying events, so was unusual for him to be down in the weights and Sharp n Smart the toppie. While this is a step up in class I think there was enough to be enticed about the $71.

Agree there with warp speed. Haven’t had a detailed look yet. Tough day today jeezus! I never go too crazy on the cup usually a wide trifecta and one or two each way.
