Think Tank Is your club ready to get reamed by Richmond at the draft?

Lol, according you you it was fine for Blues to pay McGovern almost 7% of their salary cap because they only traded out the picks that Adelaide used to obtain pick 13 for him and added Shane McAdam for good measure.

And what a master-stroke also paying Williams almost 7% of your cap as it allowed you to blow pick 8 on half back flanker Adam Sad. And not using your f1 pick on him allowed you to blow a further 5.5% of your cap on the player you are now trying desperately to unload, Adam Cerra, also sad.

Which of course led to the embarrassing and expensive situation where you run out in a final in 2024 with 13 players you acquired at great expense from other clubs in your team and only 10 you drafted. And guess what, your cap is tight, so best 22 players must go. No wonder they played like they didn't GAF in the EF. Richard Nixon was more selective with his drafting for the Vietnam war than the Blues have been.

I mean this is the club that has taken no less than 18 round 1 picks at the draft in the last 14 drafts, AND blown further rd 1 picks on Sad, Cerra, Jaksch & Whiley LOL, Marchbank/Pickett, and essentially McGovern.

Astonishing series of posts by Blues flogs on this thread.
lol what

Our players acquired took us two finals two years in a row, prelim last season. It has clearly been a success. More successful than a wooden spoon anyway.

Better than wasting multiple first rounders on Taranto and Hopper. Its not just the picks given up, but where you were on the premiership window that makes it 10x funnier.

You do indeed raise some very funny points in your post. :)

Richmond taking 8 rd 1 picks in 4 years traight after winning 3 flags in 4 years isn't enough for you for some wierd reason.

But Blues playing a final with only 10 players they drafted and getting flayed 30 years out from their last flag is an outrageous success. :tearsofjoy:

And what do you have to show for it? :tearsofjoy:

Way to talk about everything else except what the topic was. Out of 10 what do you score the Taranto and Hopper trades?

Taranto for 14(Elijah Hewett) + 22(Max Gruzewski) on 4.5% of the salary cap is a fair trade, nowt wrong with that deal at all.

Hopper on 4.5% of cap(+ Kaleb Smith + Steely Green) for 8(Daniel Curtain) + 34(Toby McMullen) is a slight overpay on draft picks because the pick 8 would have been expected to land at around 14 when the trade was done. The only reason the trade looks any worse than that is due to Hopper being dogged by injuries in his 2 seasons at Tigers.

You are carrying on like Richmond paid 8% cap for each of them and gave up the rights to gun picks in a strong draft.

Richmond has traded out 3 x rd 1 picks for established players in the last 20+ years.

Pick 7(Scrimshaw) for Prestia
Pick 8(Curtain) for Hopper
Pick 14(E Hewett) for Taranto

That policy first netted us 3 flags in 4 years, then will net us 8 x rd 1 picks in the next 4 years.

Laughable focus on a non-issue by Blues flog looking to deflect from his own club's hilarious waste of round 1 picks one after the other over the same period.

Why are concerned about our trades when you sold the farm yourself to get the great new blooz hope Cerra, How's he working out for ya? :$
TT "Not concerned about Tigers trading out 4x first rounders when their premiership had just shut"
TT "Concerned about Blues trading out 1x first rounder when they were entering their premiership window"

How is 1 first rounder selling the farm, but 2x2 (4) first rounders not selling the farm?

Cerra goes at 72-75% disposal efficieny. How do Turnover Tim and Hacker Hopper go?

When's Cerra hamstrings ever on the park and he's still only in his twenties? :$
