That wasn't a super draft like this one is dopey, this draft has talent going into pick 30's.

I mean they are kissed on the pecker by the AFL with all their academy draft concessions they probably can afford to, but it is galling for other clubs esp those who are rebuilding .

It’s a lolworthy trade regardless of which way it goes. They either pay overs for Rioli and consign themselves for another decade of shitness, or they baulk at the deal and then that’s 2 less first round picks for the pricks at campaigner road.

Richmond are probably going to waste those picks anyway.

The Suns need to keep trying to.draft and develop their own leaders from within like the talented Touk Miller.

Exactly right. Once they do that, then they can try add high end talent and push for a finals berth. It isn’t going to happen when they give their best picks to other clubs and get potatoes in return.

The thing with Buddy is we wouldn't have developed him right and he would have moved on to another club anyway.

Richmond didn't have the Footy department right back then. I'm pretty sure at this time we didn't even have a full time Footy department.
