Yeah, I would.
Obviously both are spuds now. But Bont was once a gun and Billings putrid. If Billings keeps improving he could one day be more than a pointless list clogger, Bont is heading rapidly towards the dole queue (or Carlton).

Billings had 18 disposals, 7 marks, 1 goal and 70 SC points.

Bontempelli had 17 disposals, 3 marks, no goals and 47 SC points.

Probably not a great idea to bump this thread to pot Billings when the Bont is going even shitter than him.

In the round before Bont had 28 touches and 120 SC points. ( after 132 + 145 )
Billings had 21 and 70 SC points. ( after 57,54,57,47 )

Until he gets back into the senior team and wins a premiership medallion and kicks three goals and takes 8 marks (6 contested) in a Grand Final, I'm not sure they have that much to talk about.

There are clear parallels between these 2 players.
Both early draft picks who are at different stages of a meh... career.

Billings disposal is really quite average and I have seen him pull out of a contest more than once.

Well it has been 9 years since I posted this thread, which is enough time to make a call on it.

I think I have been proven correct. JB has done nothing to suggest he is anything more than an average to below average contributor.
