Jack Billings will call RSEA Park home until 2025 after putting pen to paper on a multi-year contract, while much-loved ruckman Paddy Ryder has recommitted to the Saints for another year.

Billings, who entered Season 2021 as a restricted free agent, has been a staple of the Saints’ line-up for the better part of eight years.

The 26-year-old finished fourth in the 2019 Trevor Barker Award – this third placing inside the top-five – and has been an official member of the club’s leadership group since 2020.

The half-forward/midfielder has played 144 matches for the Saints after being taken with pick No. 3 at the 2013 National Draft.

Head of List Management James Gallagher said securing the signatures of both players would be crucial in pushing St Kilda closer towards its ultimate goal.

“We’re really thrilled to have both Jack and Paddy sign on with us,” Gallagher said.

“They’re both well-respected players who have really bought into the club and the vision we’re building.
We’re really lucky to have Jack commit long-term to the club. He’s the ultimate professional, always adhering himself and others to really high standards which is exactly what we need from a young leader like him.
- James Gallagher
“Jack has the capabilities and dedication to elevate his game to another level and can play a variety of roles for the team. We look forward to seeing what the upcoming seasons will bring.”
