He is also slow for someone his size so will need to be good at contested marking coz he wont find the same space at AFL level
He’s not going to get a game based upon contested marking. He’s a midget.

Love Ginnivan. May be ready for AFL, but not for this rabble. If he was in a better side, maybe. I suppose if he keeps kicking bags in the VFL, then you give him a go, but not before then.

Not sure about rabble - yes we have seen some shambolic performances especially the first 3/4rs of this match but it's all about coaching and leadership - both of which seem to be horrifically misconceived or totally absent.
A coaching panel change with the emphasis on balanced play instead of defense first and getting rid of the so-called leadership group would make a big difference.

If he keeps going the way he is he is a big chance of playing before seasons end, next cab off the rank for a debut also good to hear McMahon,s name mentioned a bit more and Ruscoe definitely tracking in the right direction Chugg going the other way unfortunately.

Disagree on Chugg. His issue is consistency. Thought he was good yesterday.

Be at the front of the queue for a senior call up given his performances over the last few games.

I thought he made a few blunders and got caught a few times and his disposal was on a par with most of our players but I thought was actually better than it really is.

It was that sort of day, scrappy footy. Biggest mistake I can recall was taking a mark in front of an opponent at HB and for some reason trying to run off him rather than go back. Got caught. Was solid defensively though, worked up the ground well and put it onto the chest of a forward inside F50 at 1 stage.

I do agree conditions were awful and that makes a difference even to experienced players.

I like his smarts.

I love you, Ginny.

It'd be nice to give a few players some/some more AFL exposure before they head off into another pre-season, Ginnivan the minivan included.

I think giving some a small amount of afl exposure (as long as its earned) gives them an idea whats needed to play at the top level. Its hard to know that playing vfl. If they are ready, great. If not, then it just gives them experience to use into a new pre-season to get to that level.

Ask any girl - give the guy a small taste and you have him at your mercy lol

I'd be reluctant to give him his debut game against a physical team like Richmond. If he plays a decent VFL game this week I'd then play him against Carlton who play a far less physical game.

I particularly think he's any less physically ready to play either side. Certainly hasn't been an issue for him at VFL level from what I've seen.

He looks a good player.
But a year in the weights and VFL will do him good.

No harm in giving him a senior game. If he looks overwhelmed on the occasion he goes back to the twos and continues to build til his next opportunity

But it’s criminal to keep playing the same small forward mix (Brown, Thomas) and to put players like Rantall there once McReery goes down... and then expect results.

Only 6 tackles inside 50 vs the Saints on the weekend FFS.
