The thread exists because Macrae has been squeezed out of the midfield due to a glut of stars in his role, and subsequently requested a trade. Assuming it's about cap space is a leap.

definitely, though there will be some background noise on what that projects to in 2027 at the Dogs, it won't be enough to force the dogs into a decision now.

The only downside from the Dogs point of view is they get a disgruntled player back, but one would assume Macrae's professionalism overrides that.
