Isn't a superstar.

He is a very good player and can impact our team.

Pies don't pay anything but salary which is obviously the big win here.

900k for 6 years screams Pies having a difficult conversation with him and then the coach not answering his calls in precisely 4 years time with the contract heavily backended.

Absolutely ridiculous price for Perryman.

Except that the cap has gone up by more than 25% since then, so it's not even remotely as significant a contract... And the numbers you've given aren't what he's actually getting.

Hey, I hope not, dont really want your crazy club pushing pick 16 to 17 so Richmond try to steal some extra value for Bolton, I'm just going off the article.

Time and time again, teams grabbed players out of GWS that arent in their best 10 players and time and time again, they are proven to be what they are - roleplayers. At least no picks are being given up.

He's a solid hand who will be thrown all over the park by McRae. Good work to ihim and his manager, amazing deal.

If by "offloading" you mean taking advantage of broken free agency compensation rules, I guess you're right.
Allows them to continually bring in high end talent to refresh their list.

GWS really are great at offloading players they dont want for a premium. Cameron the only one they didnt win.

They'll either be getting pick 15 or 19 as compensation. Perryman has already played more games and is a better player than he bulk of players taken at those picks. They definitely wanted to keep Perryman while in the premiership window, and losing him is a set back.

Basically the narrative all day. Tomorrow he'll be on $2 million a year
$800k a year!!?? How can such an ordinary player get a contract worth $900k a year? Collingwood will not be able to fit his $1M a year salary and will have to pay half of his $1.1M a year salary for him to play elsewhere!
A literal article came out saying it is going to be very close or in band 1 which would likely need 900k a year to be hit. We will have basic definitive proof within a week if he's on 900k. Not sure how you can sit there saying everyone is exaggerating

$900k it is. Way bigger spuds than Perryman on bigger coin. The sweetener is no trade required so extracting free agents always comes slightly inflated. Anyway by next year i think we'll be finished paying all our ex-Collingwood players that are at Sydney and the Bulldogs and anyone ive forgotten so we can start paying our own a bit more
