Just looking at the geo tag on Jake's tweets. Melbourne....4 hours later London. During Jake's time off has he learnt how to teleport?
It'll be good using those talents next year, we can play him anywhere on the park almost instantaneously.

That would be handy....he could get from the back to the forward line without anyone noticing :D

Edit: GJD23 , you beat me to it!

What negative comments did he make?
Said "The Jake Carlisle trade is a total stinker for 2016 at least."

He then went on to say at least we got a pick back and were able to get Gresham who he really likes.

High Profile trades :
Jake Carlisle : out for one season.

So ( to paraphrase an idiot )
IF: the Jake Carlisle Trade is a total stinker.
Then:
The Dayne Beams trade must smell like a broken portaloo after a curry festival.
Kerridge and 28 for Menzel must be like a freezer full of chicken that we forgot to plug in a month ago.
You'd rather live in my armpit than trade Chris Yarran for pick 19.

The smell will be fading in a few months. Meanwhile Melbourne still has lingering old socks after trading pick 12 for Mitch Clarke.

The injured player your AFL club has missed the most in 2016

ST KILDA

IF THERE’S one player that Saints coach Alan Richardson would love to have at his disposal this season, its suspended key position player Jake Carlisle. The big defender, known for his safe-as-houses hands and ability to read the play, had been earmarked for centre half-back at the Saints. But Carlisle’s season-long suspension has left a gaping hole at St Kilda, with key forwards including Jesse Hogan, Josh Kennedy, Josh Jenkins and Jeremy Cameron all having big days out against the Saints. The pressure built by Carlisle’s absence has been exacerbated by Sam Fisher missing the past seven weeks with a hamstring injury.

With a pretty favourable run on the injury front + big name recruit & all, was an obvious selection for us.

Funnily enough, that gaping hole in defence has ended up becoming a positive, as the defence has in recent weeks become a lot more effective as a unit, and relies less on key defenders and more on good communication, coordination and timing. We'll see better against a decent forward line, but it may not have happened if Jake was steadying the ship.
