I'd rank the Connery:

1. GF (standard)
2. No (accessible, flexible, some island pacing issues)
3. Twice (love the spoofy first half, just a lame third act)
4. Russia (solid throughout, although some things I'd do differently)
5. Diamonds (soft spot, gets worse as it goes along)
6. Thunderball (the lengthy underwater stunts haven't aged very well, making you feel the length)

Connery starts to look a bit grandmotherly and over it during YOLT, so he definitely needed a breather.

" Thunderball " doesn't get enough love

Must've been a nightmare to make but you wouldn't know it watching the final product.
Love Thunderball, it's in my top 2 or 3 Bond Films. I've always thought it had one of the more interesting storylines, especially for the 1960's and included some wonderful action sequences, even the underwater sequences, which some people find a little boring, are well executed and entertaining. It has a very under rated villain, Largo, and the quality of Bond Girls was unsurpassed, Claudine Auger, Luciana Paluzzi, Martine Beswick and Molly Peters were all stunners.
It perhaps falls a little short in some peoples eyes because it follows Goldfinger which many people rate as the best Bond film of the era, and perhaps all-time.

I only saw it for the 1st time about a decade ago and was mad at myself for not seeing it sooner.

Every Official James Bond Film Ranked

There are some surprises:

SPECTRE is a little harshly rated at 18, I'd have just outside the 10.
LICENCE TO KILL is also a under rated at 16, I'd have just inside my top 10.
Having YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE at 15 is criminal, is around the 10 mark as well.
They ranked GOLDENEYE at 13, I'd have it in my Top 5.
A VIEW TO A KILL is ranked too high at 12, I'd have it the twenties.
I really enjoyed FOR YOU EYES ONLY, I'd rank it around 7 or 8 instead outside the top 10.
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH is also too high at 10, I'd have it in the late teens.
THE SPY WHO LOVED ME is too low at 9, it's in my top 3.
THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is way too high at 8, I'd have it in the late teens at best.
THUNDERBALL is under rated also, I'd have it as my #1.

QUANTUM OF SOLACE at 17... should have been at #40 (out of 24)

I missed that one. I suppose the good thing about it is because there are so many Bond films, everybody could do their own ranking and no two would be the same.

A View to kill is way too high. Casino Royale is very good, but is still overrated (should be around 5). Goldfinger and From Russia with Love too low.

Only an Australian list of favourite Bond films could put On Her Majesty's Secret Service so high. It wasn't bad, showing Bond as a man, not just a spy. I'd say around 10 would have been reasonable, but 2 is not. Even with Dianne Rigg, still my favourite (as each was at the time of their movie) Bond girl, I can't put it at 2.

I haven't seen too many positive reviews, at least lately, some commentators believe it hasn't aged very well. When it was first released it received plenty of plaudits which I think it deserved. Bronson was a good Bond in this film, in later films he became a bit of a caricature and more closely resembled a Roger Moore (at his worst) styled Bond, but in this one he had a harder edge and was willing to get a little dirty. I thought the villains were a little over the top (especially the Xenia Onatopp character) but it isn't a true Bond film if they aren't. In fact the Xenia character is one of my all-time favourites, as is Natalya Simonova who was stunning, intelligent and didn't take any crap from Bond. Gotta love that.

OMG I was going to give you a like, but then you said OHMSS is too high. Obviously not a true Bond fan. :)

I enjoy watching it for Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd alone, so bloody camp haha.

I think the movie itself is quite good but Lazenby was trash. He wasn't even a proper actor, I think?

I said around 10 was justified, I'm not one of those putting it down as one of the worst. I think some of those are down on Lazenby as he only did the one. I heard him speak at the Astor in Melbourne a few years ago (where he did a show on his career after signing Autographs at Armageddon (a convention) during the day) and he was given shit advice by his Manager that films like Bond were not going to the sort of movies fans would like in future years (with changing styles). His original intent was to do more before listening to the shit advice. He did tell us he got to bone Dianne Rigg during filming though. Lucky bastard.

If Lazenby was trash then it wouldn't be one the most well regarded and liked of the Bond Series as he is in almost every scene. He was a different kind of Bond to Connery (not as brash) and only made one Bond film, which is why he isn't as well liked as the others, but he is far from the worst Bond and did a very good job considering in was perhaps his very first acting job.

Thought highly of Brosnan as Bond, sadly the writing and direction in his films let him down badly.

Love a good Bond film. I'll often have one running in the background on a Sunday evening if I've got nothing else to do.

Agree with posters who have defended QoS, I didn't care much for it at the time but I think it holds up much better than Skyfall or Spectre do on a rewatch.

Pierce Brosnan was a great Bond but he had to contend with some truly awful writing. Still though, Goldeneye wasn't bad, and I have a massive soft spot for The World Is Not Enough as it was a childhood favourite.

My favourite Bond girls would probably be Ursula Andress (Dr No), Sophie Marceau (The World Is Not Enough), and Maryam d'Abo (The Living Daylights).

My top 10 (not "best" but my favourite films) would look something like this:

Dr No
Goldfinger
Live and Let Die
Thunderball
The World Is Not Enough
Casino Royale
The Spy Who Loved Me
From Russia With Love
The Living Daylights
A View To A Kill
