Tosca scene. One of the greatest in the series' history
Watched bits and pieces of A View to a Kill this morning on Fox, didn't think it was that bad.
I think the Dalton two are great, especially License to Kill. So underrated.I take Quantum of Solace ahead of half the Roger Moore movies, All Pierce Brosnan movies other than Goldeneye and the two Timothy Dalton movies
I think the Dalton two are great, especially License to Kill. So underrated.
Even by Moonraker he's almost too old for it.I thought it was ok, I think peoples main problem with it is Moores age.
I quite enjoy the two Dalton films as well. The Living Daylights is let down a little by a weak lead Bond Girl but she is still likable, and it has an enjoyable story with some wonderful set pieces. Licence To Kill is one of my favourites, it's not your typical Bond film as its a revenge film and little more violent, and the two main villians (Sanchez and Dario) are more ruthless and blood thirsty than any characters seen previously. It also has an under rated Bond Girl in Pam Bouvier, who was every bit as tough and resourceful as Bond, and looked stunning with short hair. In the end I thought she was a little under used in the film.I think the Dalton two are great, especially License to Kill. So underrated.
I thought he was good in For Your Eyes Only, but looked tired in the last two. Should have called it quits then, as he was around 53/54 when For Your Eyes Only was released.Even by Moonraker he's almost too old for it.
Highly controversial but I enjoy watching it more than Goldfinger." Thunderball " doesn't get enough love
Must've been a nightmare to make but you wouldn't know it watching the final product.
Watched Goldfinger ( again ) last night actually and have Thunderball next on the planner.Highly controversial but I enjoy watching it more than Goldfinger.
Wow, that’s some interesting insight, thanks mate! Domino is still my favourite Bond girl to this day, stunning.Watched From Russia with Love on the weekend, never get bore watching it, has everything you want in a Bond movie and a spy movie, and that’s why I think it’s the best.
Daniela Bianchi (Tatiana or Tanya) is one beautiful Bond Girl, is actually the youngest lead Bond Girl in the series at 21 when it was made
As like Ursula Andres (Honey Rider) her voice was dubbed, as some of the other Bond Girls early on, when she was cast Daniela Bianchi could hardly speak any English
Also Claudine Auger (Domino) Thunderball, voice was dubbed by the same voice actor that did Ursula Andres voice in Dr No
He's obviously a million miles from elite actors like Connery and Craig but for the most part I think he was perfectly fine in the way he portrayed Bond.I think the movie itself is quite good but Lazenby was trash. He wasn't even a proper actor, I think?
I hate how they turned Jaws into a pigtail chasing buffoon. He was great in TSWLM.Watching Moonraker right now, can't believe how boring this is.
He was fine right up to the point in which he was required to talk! He's obviously a million miles from elite actors like Connery and Craig but for the most part I think he was perfectly fine in the way he portrayed Bond.
Just started rewatching the Bodyguard series. Richard Madden would make a good James Bond. His Scottish accent would be a throwback to the Connery days.
Good call.
I actually think Damien Lewis would be good for a 2 movie slot, even at his age, most people don't realise he's British having played Americans in all his major roles in Band of Brothers, Billions, Homeland etc Tarantino cast him as Steve McQueen, that should say enough. More of a TV actor, but he would be a good left field choice.
He has the 'mix' required imo.

Christian Bale would be pretty insane.
I could see Fassbender and Madden being pretty good, although Craig is tough shoes to fill.
