Take out the Essendon drug sage. I don't get the obsession with Hird. I know it's more media driven but he wasn't overly successful as a coach and he's been out of the game for a bloody long time. Sure he was a very successful player but even that was a long time ago.

No issues with him going back into football, good luck to him. He may still have something to offer but being out of the game so long is tough.

He never apologised properly. It was always, "im sorry for what the players went through" or "I'm sorry for our supporters" or whatever.

He never said oops, I ****ed up and encouraged drug cheating because I thought Collingwood were doing it so we needed to catch up.

I thought he looked at home as a coach, maybe it was Bomber assisting him but from memory Essendon played a pretty solid brand whilst winning most of their games until it all fell apart.

I wish him well tbh. He ****ed up but he's paid for it imo, fewer people in footy would have seen the lows he has the past few years. Wasn't he coming out of the darkness a bit then got hit by a car on his bike? Like ffs.
