G'day everyone, some of you may not know but Jimbob streams on twitch, sometimes.

He's playing in a tournament tonight, CoD: Warzone is his main jam. Starts at 6pm so he'll probably start streaming around 5:30.

www.twitch.tv/jwelliott

Find him there, sign up to twitch and give him a follow, you get notified by email when he goes live.

Usually there's about 50 people in chat, let's see if the Bigfooty crew can get him up to 100.

Last night we had Aiden Begg in chat, was pretty cool. Sometimes he teams up with Madgen, Maynard and other AFL players, sometimes Mitch Robinson (Lions) and others.

Only 2 rules in Jimbob's chat:

1. Keep AFL chat to a minimum, prefers the chat to mainly be about gaming or random. Like, you can ask AFL related questions, just not dumb questions.

2. You won't get a response calling him Jamie, it's Jimbob.

Seeya there.
That sounds pretty cool, very positive good on em

I would have been fine with keeping the normal balance for De Goey if Ash Johnson came into the side. Too bad he's also injured :(

Reef should stay in the side and play that forward mid role whilst JDG plays predominantly midfield.

Also is the WC player gonna be rubbed out for dangerous tackle? Pinned both Elliott's arms and swung him into the ground. Worse than JDG's tackle.

It looked ferocious at the time but he actually turned him in the tackle perfectly. That was a perfect tackle, unfortunately JDG's wasn't.

Good question in The Age article. Jamie's game was excellent yesterday, he tries hard whenever he is near the ball. Think it was in the 2nd quarter he went to three players to tackle, he just doesn't give up.

What's Jamie worth?

Early in the game, when the GWS were dominant and the Pies were struggling to get a foothold in the contest, it was Jamie Elliott who kept his team alive.

He booted two first-quarter goals and continued to be a dangerous threat inside forward 50 for the remainder of the match.

With all the talk around bad boy Jordan De Goey, Elliott’s contract status has flown relatively low under the radar. Out of contract at season’s end and turning 30 in August, it will be intriguing to see what the Magpies offer him. He’s never kicked more than 35 goals in a season, but there would be rival clubs keeping a close eye on what transpires at season’s end.

He does have a style of body language that i wouldnt equate with modern leadership, but he's consistently the player in the forward line who wants to change the course of the game when things arent going right. He seems to take it upon himself to "do something" as john kennedy would say. I think he's pretty valuable because of that..

Likely due to the fact he's had a horrid run with injuries. Which is probably because he goes at it like a bull 110% of the time.

You'd take those 35 goals a year without question, because they're usually match-winning. And the pressure he gives is the prototype for the younger bulls like McCreery.

Just sign him.

I think any offer that Jamie gets should reflect just how much better we perform when he is in the side.
A valuable asset, when fit, that doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. And doesn’t create any embarrassing headlines that players on bigger coin do.

I love this guy as a person and a footballer, all class!!!!!

Elliott, who booted an equal team-high two goals in the win, said the club stayed committed to the task at hand.

“All we can do is play and train, we wanted to prepare as best we could. We spoke about leading into this game that this was one of the best preparations we’ve had with the amount of external noise going on right now,” he said.

“We try not to worry about that, put that behind us and if we think about that leading into a game it’s going to affect our performance. I feel like we prepared really well it and showed tonight.”

Elliott was bullish about the club’s direction as a whole.

“We’re building something here, that’s what it feels like. When you see our band of footy you know what to expect,” he said.

“Overall it’s exciting, it’s exciting times ahead. As long as we keep playing the way we want to play. We’ve got a good mix of old guys and youth that bring a lot of energy. It’s a fun club to be at.”

The 29-year old has been a key contributor for McRae’s side this season, splitting his time between midfield and forward.

And despite missing five games earlier this year with an AC joint injury, Elliott has avoided any soft-tissue setbacks that have hampered him throughout stages of his career.

“I actually feel like it’s the best I’ve felt for a long time — and I felt like that the last two years,” the 144-gamer said.

“I’ve knuckled down on my preparation and recovery and I know exactly what that looks like leading into games and off games.

“Getting older I’m just trying to make the younger guys better and make them feel comfortable and be able to perform. As I’m getting older the role kind of changes and evolves, but overall I feel like I’ve got a good mix at the moment.”

he spent a fair bit of time in the middle with Degoeys absence. they can't let him go.

Yep, he is a key player now whether in the middle or forward.

Aside from injury - there's a simple explanation to why he's never kicked over 35 years in a season - it's because we kick the ball over his head, at his feet, two wide - need I go on!

If we kicked it properly to him, he'd be on 400 career goals. If only Pendles was the one delivering the ball to him inside forward 50 every time.

Somebody mentioned body language - your body language would also be poor if you've busted a gut to get into position to receive the ball, then have the pass sail over your head time after time.

Did Barry Price have any sons?

With his injury history he isn't gonna be a player who plays well into his 30's

He's kicked 70 goals from the past 4 seasons.

Definitely not a player to break the bank over

Given he’s spent a lot of time in the midfield over the past 3 years, the amount of goals you’ve listed is more of a positive than a negative tbh.
