Different era for Doug, he would have had big problems today.

He is young lazy, **** sure and stupid at this point, your run of the mill late teen.

That said we over looked Franklin for similar behavioral traits .... that I do not understand.

I'd be willing to gamble that Grant interviewed a little better than Franklin did.

I can't remember where i read this. Might have bigfooty for all I know but i heard that the difference between Lachlan Henderson and Jarrod Grant was that Grant wanted to be a forward target. How they gaged this I don't know, maybe Henderson was a little bit more timid then Grant? (also heard skeptical things about how far Henderson could kick)

Anyway, if that's true(no guarantees) then Grant must of had a more extrovert personalty.

I remember hearing the same thing, I heard they loved the confidence and he had that touch of arrogance that got him over the line ahead of Henderson. He wanted to be the "Main Man"

Not according to this years premiership winners

To be fair to the club the interviews were three years apart.

From what I understand Franklin didn't perform as well for some clubs as he did for others, leaving some to believe he was a raving lunatic. Another story I have heard suggested he had a list of clubs he did and didn't want to play for. We'll never know I guess and have to move on.

Butane, I read the same about Grant wanting to be the focal point and think him having confidence with a bit of arrogance is a good thing. As long as he develops a strong work ethic over his first couple of years and hits the gym.
