Really??? So you think that Hine and co didn't realise he was that short. Perhaps he had lifts in his boots during the draft camp:D;) To base your decision on that single fact alone is silly. I am sure we didn't recruit him hoping he would suddenly shoot up 15 cm's......

I haven't seen him play but I have read plenty about him on these boards and he sounds like a good prospect. The future looks so bright I gotta wear shades.

Why, because we have too many of them? We may not need any more HBF'er types but every other position could use more bodies if they are good enough.

Sounds like you are a lone voice, especially with the vfl crowd, who have been regarding him highly from early on based on what they have seen week in week out.

His best position is midfield, but he can push forward. If we were short on small forwards he could easily play out of a forward pocket and be a goalkicker.

Shane O'Bree might have one year left so he's got an opportunity to make a name for himself in that role.

I am not concerned at his size at all. His pro's far outweigh the cons its not funny..

Tough little bugger, has great skills, can win the hard ball & pretty quick.

Ticks all the boxes if you ask me :p
 
I've got a bit of faith in Blair from what I've seen in the VFL, I reckon I'll be booking a seat on this wagon when it gets cranking.

He is only 5 cms under Sammy Mitchell, another bloke who isn't possessed with lightening speed or freakish skills, but he has set the precedent about how much you stand to lose by overlooking these sorts of blokes.

I dunno whether the Morrish Medal does him much good though, Caruso won the thing twice and the bloke struggles to cut it at VFL level IMO. Still the comparison between those two should end at the medal and their height, Blight seems to have the chops to cut it at the top.

Rookie draft is reaping some sweet rewards for us as of late.
