I'm calling him "Mighty Mouse" after tonight, he was the spark that got us going, and he never looked back.

Stats;

10 kicks
18 handballs
6 marks
4 tackles
2 goals
3 one percenters
13 CONTESTED POSSESSIONS.

He is now cemented in our best 22, at least through the first final, and how amazing a rise has that been for "Mighty Mouse".:thumbsu:

Awesome game by Blair!!! he will be Sam Mitchell in a few years with better disposal and more pace.
Cant wait to see 70% of the posters who said he would never make it due to his size, come on here and admit they were wrong.

He is a gun, no doubt. I posted in another thread the question of has any other side the the AFL got as much value from their rookie picks as Collingwood? It's a huge credit not only to our recruiters but to the development coaches that we have players like Blair who got overlooked yet can come into a top of the ladder side and play like he did. I hope he keeps his spot, he has done everything right.

He's such a down to earth bloke and a footballer.

You can kinda tell he's from the country, just a solid player, cool head, unflustered.

Was fantastic tonight, and that run in the first qtr was sensational, and the type of

thing that really announces a player's arrival in his own mind.

Picked him from the first youtube video I saw the day we got him. Terrific little terrier.

Probably casts Sidebottom to the 2s when the "rest" come back.

Yes the Jack Russell of the AFL

Small little fella with a big heart.

How many fend offs did he dish out tonight, it was brilliant.

Im all for the rise of the mighty mouse!!

very good game by the little man. a lot of people were calling him a smaller version of Ball, but to me he seems like a mini-swanny. A a similar sort of waddle and hip shimmy when he gets it. Couple of turnovers where he kicked it straight to the opposition were a little weird, but his first goal was a beauty. not much opposition, but you couldn't ask for much more from him regardless.. and how bout the specky? start shining up the rising star nomination, it's his.

More amazing when you consider that even his first ever AFL game was good. Compare that to medders who had a quiet first one after 10 weeks in the VFL even though he is a v experienced player and was an all-oz.
By that (admittedly simplistic) reasoning, Blair should keep getting better to be easily all-oz level by the grannie. Might have to wait for next season for him to reach that though.

He played Ballys positon perfectly last night. Hard tough played, a player everyone loves to watch. Rapt he came back in and worked his ass off and proved himself to selection comittee. Shows alot of character for a youmg bloke.
God spots are heating up, one bad game and you could be out of the side. Loving the intensity of our players at the moment.

his nickname has to be Mouse. Its just too simple
Almost got it, I say MIGHTY MOUSE.

Mouse doesn't really tell you about his amazing strength and ability to break tackles.
