Watched Cachia train on Saturday morning, and i'd be pretty surprised if he didn't play some senior footy this year. Certainly has the body to play at the highest level, although his kicking can be a little hit and miss at times. Still, I said this about AJ when he firstly got to the club, now he's hitting his targets lace out.

Big call. Sure you aren't getting sucked in by his body size?

How many guys could you name who have had the body to play at the highest level, but that's only one small piece of the equation.

Supposedly his pace has improved so he might have half a chance. Otherwise he might well just be another Adam Bentick or Jesse Smith. He's basically got the same body as those guys, wins the ball the same way as those guys did, has the skill level those guys did.

It'll be a tough midfield for him to try and break into.

No doubt his body size is a factor. His skills are pretty good also.
Reckon he'd also have a yard of pace on AB also - AB struggled to run out of sight on a dark night.

Can someone answer me what his heritage is? I tended to think with the name Cachia it was maltese, but has been said its Italian

I don't think he'll have much trouble 'breaking' into the side...

This guy is a freak!! How did he make it all the way through to pick 15 in the rookie draft idk! Judging by his training reports and seeing the build on him he could play alot of senior footy this year! Will be a gun :thumbsu:

He did have a year off footy to go to the UK as part of the exchange student program. Would have had a fair bit to do with it. However, you don't captain the VM U16 side unless you have some serious talent. WH may have uncovered a seriously good steak here.

When? It has grown legs amongst you lot but it is not true.

He missed two TAC Cup games (the last two rounds of 2008) when he went overseas at the end of August 2008 until December 2008. Players miss longer than that with injury!

You're normally on the ball HBF, but to say he missed a year of footy is clearly wrong and you've been fed the wrong info by someone and believed it. You don't even have to be a genius researcher to check it out - go onto Sportingpulse through the TAC Cup website - in 07 he played Vic U16s and four games with the Knights, in 08 he played six games with the Knights and in 2009 he played 11 games with the Knights. And most of the TAC Cup games he missed were due to St Kevins APS commitments.

Never did he miss a year of footy on student exchange.

Fair enough FM. I must have mis-heard that little piece if information. Perhaps I should have my ears tested.

I get the feeling out of all the rookies he will make it with Levi as a outside chance. I like all new rookies to make it but following all the years drafts most don't.

I would love to see Casboult to make it 198cm & 103kg we need someone like that in our forward line. Also Simon White i can see him coming in to the team.

Cachia i recond in 1-2 years he'll be in the team, he is training out standing.

Remember Joe Dare is only 17 years old, if he wasn't picked up this year i recond he would have been picked up top 20 in next years draft.

Good call there Shell, Dare only turned 18 in October. I didn't realise he was that young.

Given that some had tipped him to go top 30 in this years draft before he slid you could be spot on. :thumbsu:

I thought Rookies could only play if a senior has been put on a long-term injury list. How are these guys supposed to play otherwise? Are you talking NAB Cup?
