So what we're going to do is that I send off the squad on behalf of you guys on BigFooty, however the VAFA themselves will pick the team, seeing that have stats on virtually every VAFA player down the years, which will make picking the final team a little bit easier for them. And also I don't have to cop the brunt of the criticism of picking the side at all-save your frustration for Messrs T.Brain, J.Bourke, M.Sholly, B.Goodman, not me.

Send it off THIS WEEK no need to preface it with anything. Believe me Jase, they will be "all over it". They already know its coming!!!

Jason I also suggest you send it to Peter Nicholson at Box Hill Secondary College and Mike McCarthur Allen at Mazenod College. They would be all over this.

Job done, I've sent off the email to VAFA HQ with not one but two lists of nominations for the VAFA to consider in picking the team.

who's on your second list? please name them, and are you going to name your c-d4?
do not know many of these as have been involved around b,c,a. AS mentioned previously though, think Kirzner, Lalich, Costello,Parton,Collins,Davis,Porteous are all worthy as are monash boys, not to pass judgement on others, but do not know them.
Miller, Keleher, Davis(again), didnt see much of Collins as was injured this year. West is a good player, but wouldn't make an A grade top four best 22 this year, let alone a C-D4 best of 30yrs.He isnt even in Rupertswoods top 6 in my opinion. Fragiocomo is in both of these lists but hardly qualifies as only played 1 season with the razorbacks before going to Old Ivanhoe. Matthews should be a monty

I don't have the second list with me, as I've sent it off to VAFA HQ, and no, there has been a change of plan with VAFA now in charge of team selections.

Frangiocomo more than qualifies. 2002, 2003 and 2004 B&F winner at the Razorbacks. 3 seasons at the Hoes, now a best in a senior State team more than qualifies him.

Oh, we do agree on one thing-Mike McCarthur-Allen must be coach of this team because of his outstanding record in A Section 1985-1990. But who'll be umpire?

Under a three umpire system (as would be necessary in a fast-paced game between your TOTC and the Hampton Rovers U17s) I'd take Sutty, Gibbo and Chuck Hinton.
Throw Macca in as emergency and Albie Firley can get some rays on the boundary line as the interchange steward (unless that role is already taken

My nominations would be Mark Gibson and Brian Goodman. Actually it would be a good idea to get Goodman to be a selector (if he's not busy with umpiring matters) of this team, seeing that he umpired many of the players during his career that will most like be named in the side.
