Are there any options for other clubs to try and get Jed, besides GWS passing up the opportunity to list him with an NT Zone pick? I.e. can he be used as part of any mini-draft deals (not as the selection but as an extra like Luke Brown was last year)?

He probably can be traded in that manner, if he's used as a zone selection (rather than a pre-listing) then traded. I'm not 100% sure whether he can be zoned then traded though.

If GWS doesn't pick him up or he chooses not to go to GWS, he goes into the national draft.

Quick idea with no thought or reasearch whatsoever;

Would the Giants take pick #2 for Martin & Anderson?
Always a chance I reckon.

A lot of variables at play, mainly: who would GWS take with extra top 10 picks (want #2 a lot more than #5?), and what the market is like for MD2 (would, say, #6 still be in play, thus the end result being #2 and #6 rather than #5 and #6)

I'd obviously much rather see us end out something like MD1, Anderson and MD2 to get #2 and #6 than send out MD1, Anderson and Tyson to get #5 and #6.

I would probably give both MDs and Anderson for pick #2 alone. Drafting Whitfield and Grundy would be massive.
I agree, plan A will be Whitfield and Grundy and the MD deals will probably hinge on where Grundy is expected to land, then onto how the rest of the top 10 is expected to shake out.

I wouldnt be surprised to see you pick up Jake Neade. Apparently has been in contact with sheeds for the last two years. Though sheeds doesn't make the draft decisions so it may be wrong, but its what I've heard.

Richmond trades pick 9 + Nahas for pick 12 + 20 + Anderson? I doubt GWS will be using picks 12 and 20 anyway.
#20 seems all but gone in the MD2 trade. We might still look to upgrade a pick to something like #9, but I'm not if its necessary - depends on who they're looking to pick after the top 3 (Vlatsuin? Plowman? Stringer? other?) and where they'll land. There's also not much left to add to #12 in an upgrade - Anderson would probably be it.

Take out Nahas and 20. Seems like a good deal to me.

Anderson for a three pick upgrade? I'd rather keep Anderson, but I'd be pretty sure there's better offers out there to pick up Anderson for a pick downgrade.

I could see Brisbane or Port be interested as both still need quality mids, which would directly trump Richmond. Given the Tom Lee (!) example, there may be even more on offer, as that one shocked me. If there's four or five clubs interested (and there probably would be), it wouldn't surprise me if we package up something like Anderson and Neale for a first round pick straight up.

I thought one of the reasons that you didnt pick Wingard before 6 was that Jed Anderson is a very similar player and rated lower but with the same amount of potential?

How;d he go for NT last year? Was great watching last year but i dropped off my footy watching due to year 12
