What are the ideals of country footy exactly?
Pro bigotry in what sense? One of the key ideals of country football is being pro bigotry?
Absolutely; if anyone with a half brain doesn’t see through the AFL’s BS, then they’re deadset deluded. The AFL pick and choose when they care about the impact to the community. And their care level comes down to how much money it will cost them. That is all they care about.
They dont give a s**t about the hundreds of thousands of lives ruined by gambling and drug addiction. They will take the money and cover up anything they can. But there is no downside for them over this sort of issue so they go hard on it.
You must have been as good a footballer as I was, playing 4ths you always ended up with people looking for fights rather than a game of footy.Current administration is a farce - anyone that has played local footy thinks this is a farce.
Being combative, aggressive and relentless in local football is acceptable as are all in brawls. You don't want bruises and getting hit you don't play as that's the game.
AFL is doing a good job in most aspects of the sport but when they bring politics especially ultra-woke rubbish that goes against the ideals of country football then they are walking on thin ice.

How would you know whether they are offended or not? People with mental health issues can be very sensitive to put down comments. Just to top off your BOG average post, you then assume they are just after a "payout."You’re wrong. Most people aren’t sensitive and could care less being called that word or any other. The ones that do aren’t that offended but will use the incident to get a payout and carry on with faux outrage and worse yet are the people that get outraged on behalf of others and social media is absolutely full of it and the cancel culture warriors
You said today's woke decision went against country football ideals. The only decision the afl made today was to make a stand against bigotry.Pro bigotry in what sense?
Families could say the same thing to ultra wokesters.
No arguments from me there, but what are these so-called "ultra-woke" policies the AFL have implemented that threaten that?Family and community

You can do all of that without slagging off gay people.
Let’s tease this out then shall we.Current administration is a farce - anyone that has played local footy thinks this is a farce.

Sadly his wife and family is being attacked on social media
Let’s tease this out then shall we.
Are you claiming country footy’s ideals are pro homophobic terms being thrown about with abandon?
My brother in christ, slow down and think about what you’re really saying, because spluttering “WOKE” with a trailing ribbon of saliva isn’t really cutting it.
I dunno then, not accomodating homophobic slurs seems pretty pro-family and pro-community to me. Glad that we cleared that up.Nope not what I insinuated its what you interpreted. Country football is pro family and community

Thought you just said country footy wasn’t pro homophobic slurs? Curious.Country football slurs all the time there are no special snowflakes on the ground.

But they already have a vilification and discrimination policy. Seems pretty easy to follow, too: only people I can think of who have breached it in the last 4 seasons are TayTay Walker and now Floglayson. The AFL should state to all the players and coaches what sayings are not acceptable
