Unfortunately, I don't think he plays with the aggression or attack on the ball that was Schultz's trademark (at least during his time with us). His strengths are his height, ability to pick the ball up off the deck and goal-kicking. His highlights show that he can mark the high ball in contests against quality opposition (e.g. Talia, McEvoy) and that he snaps very well both in free play and from tight set shot angles. Coupled with Georgiades' aggressive leading and leaping, it looks like a handy and complementary skill set. I'm not convinced that he's an upgrade on Ladhams as a forward, but if it means we can trade Ladhams and get in a top 20 selection or a ready-made player who fills our midfield needs, then it's pretty sensible list management.Even looking at his stats for this year in what was supposedly an average year in which he was dropped, he kicked a few good mini bags and ave 1.8 goals a game. Expand that over 24 matches and thats 43 goals for the year.
5 goals in rnd 13.
4 goals in rnd 4
3 goals in rnd 8 and 10.
Then in 2019 (his best year) he had 2 other 5 goal games and 6 with 3.
Could be a great pick up and very Schultz like for 5 years.
